National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that after 40 working days, the 10th session had completed all the planned content and programs, passing 51 laws and 39 resolutions.

On the afternoon of December 11th, in his closing remarks at the 10th session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that after 40 days of continuous, urgent, and serious work, with a scientific spirit, innovation, and high responsibility, the session had completed all the planned content and program.

Through 51 laws and 39 resolutions

The National Assembly reviewed, discussed, and voted to pass 51 laws and 39 resolutions , including 8 normative resolutions. This is a very large volume of legislation, accounting for nearly 30% of the total number of laws and normative resolutions issued during the entire term.

The laws and resolutions passed both promptly met practical requirements and created a legal framework for the new phase. Along with legislative and supervisory work, the National Assembly considered and decided on many strategic issues of great importance.

In particular, this session of the National Assembly conducted a thorough and comprehensive review of the work of state agencies during the 2021-2026 term; and considered and decided on personnel matters in accordance with regulations.

At the same time, they thoroughly discussed the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party, contributing their intellect, dedication, and ideas for the country's development towards the goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030, when the Party celebrates its 100th anniversary.

Furthermore, by 2045, marking the 100th anniversary of the nation's founding, Vietnam aims to become a developed, high-income country.

Looking back over the past five years, he stated that the National Assembly is pleased to have overcome numerous difficulties and challenges.

Right from the beginning of the term, the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in a very complex manner, causing serious consequences. The National Assembly had to hold online meetings under social distancing conditions, and many National Assembly deputies had to quarantine and wear masks to attend the meetings.

Towards the end of the term, the entire country suffered successive natural disasters, storms, and floods, causing heavy losses of life and property for the State and the people ; the country also had to face complex and unpredictable developments in the region and the world.

Against this backdrop, together with other agencies in the political system, under the leadership of the Party, the National Assembly has made extraordinary efforts, adapted flexibly, and acted decisively. At the same time, it has maintained unity and achieved quite comprehensive results in the fields of constitutional drafting, legislation, supreme oversight, and decision-making on important national issues...

This has contributed to ensuring macroeconomic stability; achieving positive results and progress in many aspects of cultural, human, and social development; improving social welfare and people's living standards; and continuously strengthening national defense and security.

Proactively innovate thinking in lawmaking.

In particular, according to the Speaker of the National Assembly, the 15th term amended and supplemented several articles of the Constitution, the National Assembly proactively reformed its thinking in lawmaking, actively and promptly institutionalized the Party's policies into law, affirming its pioneering role in institutional reform.

Promoting the application of digital technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence; successfully organizing two forums on law and supervision for the first time.

The National Assembly has enacted many important laws on perfecting the socialist rule of law; streamlining the organizational structure and reorganizing administrative units; and combating corruption, waste, and negative practices.

Especially in the fields of finance, budget, culture, society, health, education, social security, resources and environment, science and technology, national defense and security, foreign affairs, and international integration, these areas have created an important foundation for our country to enter a new era of development.

Following this session, he emphasized that the National Assembly requested the Government, ministries, departments, and localities to promptly and comprehensively implement the laws and resolutions passed by the National Assembly.

We are determined to successfully achieve the growth targets and the goals and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security, and foreign affairs for the period 2026-2030; and to better care for the lives of the people, especially in areas severely affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods.

He emphasized that the tasks and requirements of the country in the new development stage demand that the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army highly promote the spirit of patriotism, the aspiration for development, the strength of the people, and the great national unity; strongly innovate thinking; and implement strategic decisions synchronously and effectively.

The National Assembly, its agencies, and its members must strive, make greater efforts, and demonstrate higher determination, daring to speak, act, and take responsibility for the people and the country, making a significant contribution to the nation's entry into a new era...
