On the afternoon of December 10th, a delegation led by the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lu Quang Ngoi, worked with the Standing Committee of the Hoa Thanh Ward Party Committee on the situation regarding the implementation of various tasks since the establishment of the two-tiered local government system.

Hoa Thanh Ward was established based on the entire natural area and population of Hoa Tan Commune, Hoa Thanh Commune, and parts of Ward 7, Ward 6, Dinh Binh Commune, and Tac Van Commune (formerly Ca Mau City). Over the past period, the Hoa Thanh Ward Party Committee has strictly implemented the Central Committee's conclusions, completing the arrangement of organizations, offices, and public assets according to the two-tiered local government model; and coordinating with relevant departments and agencies in reviewing provincial and specialized planning and technical infrastructure after the merger.

Furthermore, urban infrastructure management in the ward has made significant progress; data on roads, drainage, and public works has been completed; administrative procedures in the economic and infrastructure sectors have been updated to meet reform requirements. Budget allocations are timely, public investment is implemented in accordance with regulations; facilities and equipment meet operational needs and serve the people.

During the meeting, delegates exchanged and discussed issues related to the funding for the Hoa Thanh ward's master plan; the construction and upgrading of schools in the area; accelerating the progress of embankment construction to prevent landslides; investing in a clean water supply system; policies on maintenance and management of transformer stations in industrial shrimp farming; and supporting and improving the quality of OCOP products…

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi highly appreciated the work of the two-tiered local government in Hoa Thanh ward; at the same time, he requested the locality to pay attention to and have solutions to effectively implement planning; improve digital transformation, support people in carrying out administrative procedures online; and identify the number of products with development potential in the area. In addition, he urged strengthening social mobilization to support people in stabilizing their lives; expanding effective models that generate income for people; and strictly maintaining measures to combat overexploitation of aquatic resources.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lu Quang Ngoi, also requested provincial departments and agencies to coordinate with localities to find solutions to support people in consuming local products; strengthen inspection and management of public assets; have solutions for waste treatment and collection; encourage people to participate in health insurance; and at the same time, ensure the quantity and quality of military recruitment; and have a plan for patrolling and ensuring security and order in the ward.
