Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests "unanimity from top to bottom" to realize the growth target of over 10%

(NLĐO) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued strong directives on strengthening discipline and order; building a coordination mechanism in the spirit of "vertical and horizontal, seamless" operation.


On December 19th, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Phan Van Mai, signed a document addressed to members of the City People's Committee; leaders of departments and agencies; chairmen of districts and communes; and Thu Duc City regarding strengthening administrative discipline and promoting economic growth in 2025.

This will help realize the target of over 10% GRDP growth and create momentum for future growth.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City called for "unity from top to bottom" to realize the growth target of over 10%.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City requested members of the City People's Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, and localities to thoroughly understand and establish political determination, and to strongly innovate in the awareness and actions of cadres, civil servants, and public employees regarding administrative discipline.

At the same time, innovate the approach and handling of work, practice a professional demeanor in performing official duties; resolve and handle work decisively, on schedule, and meet general requirements; resolutely address the situation of intentional delays and shirking of responsibility.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, Phan Van Mai, directed each agency and unit to conduct a comprehensive review of their internal work processes and adjust them for greater efficiency. He called for the development of coordination mechanisms based on the principles of "playing the right role and knowing the job"; "unity of mind from top to bottom"; and "smooth communication across all levels"; avoiding shirking responsibility, avoidance, and indifference.

"I request that each leader at the departmental, district, and divisional levels, as well as all staff members involved in daily work and advising superiors, thoroughly understand the issues, have clear opinions, and propose specific solutions; ensuring clarity regarding personnel, tasks, responsibilities, timelines, and effectiveness," the directive from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City clearly stated.

The Department of Internal Affairs is tasked with overseeing and coordinating with relevant agencies, researching and proposing amendments and additions to the Regulations on Coordination between departments, boards, and agencies and the People's Committees at the district level, aiming to clarify responsibilities and ensure overall progress and quality of work. A report should be submitted to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for consideration before December 30th.

The Office of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City is leading the review and proposing solutions to improve and enhance the information and reporting system of the entire city government system, with a strong focus on digital reform, standardized reporting forms, and a common platform for processing administrative documents.

If necessary, report and propose additions or adjustments to the Working Regulations of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; report to the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee before December 30th.
