Preparing to invite investors for 19 projects to renovate and rebuild old apartments

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong has just issued a document conveying the opinion of the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee regarding the planning of old apartment buildings in the city.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Architecture to urgently review the planning and propose architectural and planning criteria for 19 projects to renovate and rebuild apartment buildings as proposed by the Department of Construction, ensuring feasibility to attract investors. At the same time, there will be a document guiding the People's Committees of wards, communes and special zones to implement the planning of old apartment buildings in Ho Chi Minh City.

Previously, the Department of Construction sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee proposing 19 apartment projects that need to be rebuilt but do not have investors, and need to focus on and prioritize removing planning work to invest in renovation and reconstruction.

Currently, there are 9 apartment projects that have been inspected and must be relocated or demolished, but the demolition work has not been completed; 10 apartment projects that have not been inspected and must be relocated or demolished, but must carry out renovation and new construction work.
