BOS Securities partially suspended trading activities

Recently, the Vietnam Stock Exchange (VNX) has just decided to partially suspend trading activities of BOS Securities Joint Stock Company.

Specifically, BOS has been suspended from buying transactions on the listed market, the registered trading market and the derivatives market. The reason for BOS's suspension is that the company has violated its reporting and information disclosure obligations as a member and has not yet remedied the violation.

The suspension period is from August 23, 2023 until BOS corrects the above situation, not exceeding 90 days from the date of suspension.

BOS provides securities financial services to individual investors as well as professional financial institutions and organizations. The company's target customers are businesses operating in many different fields such as manufacturing, construction, real estate, banking, media entertainment, energy, etc.

Regarding the financial situation, in the second quarter of 2023, the company's total revenue reached 1.6 billion VND, down 73% compared to the revenue of 6 billion VND in the second quarter of 2023. Business operating expenses decreased by 69% compared to the same period in 2022. Business management expenses increased by 6% from 3 billion VND to 3.3 billion VND. The company's loss after tax was 3.5 billion VND, a loss of 486 million VND compared to the same period in 2022.

Previously, BOS Securities announced the documents for the 2nd Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in 2023 scheduled to take place on August 24, including a proposal to shareholders to approve the voluntary termination of derivative securities trading activities, provision of clearing and settlement services for derivative transactions and termination of derivative securities trading membership at the Vietnam Stock Exchange and authorization for the Board of Directors to perform related work .
