On the afternoon of October 2nd, Nam Dinh FC faced Eastern FC (Hong Kong) in the second match of Group F - AFC Champions League Two (Asian Cup C2). Prior to this, the Nam Dinh team had a smooth start in the continental competition, securing 3 points against Ratchaburi of Thailand. Conversely, Eastern FC suffered a defeat against Gamba Osaka.

In the first half, both teams played a tight game. Nam Dinh FC created more dangerous opportunities, but that wasn't enough for the Vietnamese team to take the lead. The most dangerous chance created by Coach Vu Hong Viet's team came in the 10th minute. After a well-coordinated play in the penalty area, Percy Tau's shot hit the Eastern goalkeeper, and Brenner's follow-up shot also went wide. The first 45 minutes ended without a goal.

It wasn't until the second half that Nam Dinh's attacking efforts paid off. In the 55th minute, the Eastern goalkeeper made a poor clearance, and Hansen took full advantage of the opportunity, unleashing a lightning-fast shot to give the Nam Dinh team the opening goal.
After conceding a goal, the Eastern team launched an attack in search of an equalizer. The match became more exciting with both teams exchanging attacks. Especially towards the end, both teams had good opportunities to score, but their strikers failed to capitalize and were unlucky. Nam Dinh FC had a chance to hit the post in the 90th minute.
In the end, Nam Dinh FC won narrowly 1-0 against Eastern. The team from Nam Dinh has now won two consecutive matches in the AFC Cup.
