Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club requests to change its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club

After being reorganized into the new Dong Nai province, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club proposed to change its name and invest in renovating and upgrading Dong Nai Stadium into its home field.

During a meeting with the leaders of Dong Nai province, representatives of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club stated that in the first two seasons after taking over, the club had achieved many remarkable accomplishments.

In their very first year, the team won the bronze medal in the National First Division League 2023-2024 season.

Subsequently, in the 2024-2025 season, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc FC won the silver medal and a playoff spot to compete for promotion to the V-League. However, Cong Phuong's team lost toSHB Da Nang in that match.

To continue operating effectively after the merger, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc is seeking the opinion of the Dong Nai provincial leadership on changing its name to Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Football Club.

In addition, to better serve the fans and people of Dong Nai province after the merger, Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc also proposed investing in the renovation and upgrading of Dong Nai Stadium.

Upon completion, the Dong Nai Stadium will be used as the club's home ground for training, recreation, and matches in the future.

During that time, Truong Tuoi proposed continuing to use Binh Phuoc Stadium as a competition venue and youth training ground for the academy.

Mr. Le Truong Son, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, said that the province highly welcomes businesses' cooperation in developing football in Dong Nai.

Regarding the club's proposals, Mr. Son instructed the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to take the lead, coordinating with relevant departments and agencies to verify the legal aspects related to the club's name change procedure, as well as clarify land procedures for the use of Dong Nai Stadium.

Mr. Son suggested that Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club take over Dong Nai's football team to jointly develop this king of sports in the future.

The People's Committee of Dong Nai province will report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to seek their opinion and approve the policy for implementation in accordance with regulations.
