This handover aims to implement the policy of streamlining the state apparatus, ensuring effective management and service to the people. Over the past period, the Provincial Police and the Department of Justice have closely coordinated, reviewing functions, tasks, personnel, and equipment to ensure a smooth transition without disruption to operations.
At the ceremony, the two units approved and signed the handover minutes, including the transfer of state management responsibilities regarding criminal records, the shared criminal record management system, databases, related files and documents, and equipment for issuing criminal record certificates from the Department of Justice to the Provincial Police.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Long, Deputy Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Police, affirmed that this is an important milestone, creating a legal basis for the implementation of new tasks. He also emphasized the need for continued close coordination to ensure the system is received and operated in accordance with regulations, without affecting the service to the people.
Immediately after the handover ceremony, the Provincial Police Department assigned the Professional Records Department to take the lead in receiving and operating the system. For two months starting from February 25th, the Department of Justice will send staff to provide support to ensure the transfer process is smooth and efficient.
