
Ms. Vu Thi Anh Thuy, President of the Trade Union of Newspapers, Radio and Television of Thanh Hoa, delivered a speech at the gift-giving ceremony.
Located in Bat Mot commune – a particularly difficult border commune of the province – the Bat Mot Border Guard Post is tasked with managing and protecting 17.492 km of border, with 7 border markers and 2 adjacent markers; it also has the Kheo - Tha Lau border gate located on National Highway 47, bordering Sam To district, Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The commune currently has 895 households/4,117 people, comprising three ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, and Muong; with the Thai ethnic group accounting for 98%. The people's lives are still difficult, and their awareness of education and career guidance is limited. Recognizing their responsibility and wanting to contribute to alleviating difficulties and helping students feel secure in attending school, over the years, the Bat Mot Border Guard Post has accompanied disadvantaged children in the locality through programs and models such as: "Helping Children Go to School," "Children Adopted by the Border Guard Post," etc. These are practical, effective, and deeply humane programs and models.

To promote the spirit of community service and participation in protecting national security, and to create more motivation and determination for officers and soldiers of the Border Guard Post and schools and students at all levels in Bat Mot commune, the Trade Union of Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio and Television, together with sponsors, organized a charitable program here.

...and presented 20 gifts from sponsors to underprivileged students who have excelled in their studies at Bat Mot Secondary School.
The program donated nearly 300 warm jackets (uniforms) to students of Bat Mot Secondary School; one generator, one dish dryer, and some supplies for boarding school to Bat Mot Kindergarten; one television and two water filters to Bat Mot Primary School; and 20 cash gifts to underprivileged students at Bat Mot Secondary School.
