Representatives from the Tan Son Nhat Airport Terminal 3 Project Management Board stated that the entire project has achieved over 65% completion. Specifically, the passenger terminal's rough concrete construction is 100% complete; architectural rough construction is 85% complete; and the multi-story parking garage and non-aviation services have reached 100% completion of rough concrete construction and 75% completion of architectural rough construction.

Inside Terminal 3, the massive architectural structures have been completed in their rough form by the contractor, who is now accelerating the erection of the steel structure, glass walls, and roofing in a phased manner. According to the Prime Minister 's directive, this project must be operational by April 30, 2025. To date, the contractor has basically completed the installation of the steel frame structure for the roof of Terminal 3 at Tan Son Nhat Airport, weighing 3,000 tons. This is a crucial item that has been underway since the end of May.

The mechanical and electrical building section has reached 100% completion of the concrete structure, and the mechanical and electrical construction is 100% complete; equipment installation is currently underway. Alongside the structural construction, equipment and machinery are also being imported and installed according to the schedule of each item. Large-scale items, including the installation of air conditioning ducts, fire protection systems, and water supply and drainage systems, have reached over 90% completion on floors B2 of the commercial building, B1, and one passenger terminal.

The T3 passenger terminal construction project is invested by the Vietnam Airports Corporation, with a total investment of nearly 11,000 billion VND. The construction time is 24 months from the date of commencement. Terminal T3 is designed with a capacity of 20 million passengers per year, and 7,000 passengers per hour during peak times.

The terminal has one basement level and four above-ground levels, with a total construction floor area of ​​112,500 m2. The terminal has a linear shape similar to the existing terminal, designed with two separate levels for arrivals and departures. It features 90 traditional airline check-in counters, 20 automated baggage drop-off backdrop counters, 42 check-in kiosks, 27 boarding gates, 16 baggage handling islands, and 25 passenger security checkpoints.

The project also includes a multi-story parking garage combined with non-aviation services, comprising a complex of 2 basement levels, 4 above-ground levels, and a 3-story motorbike parking block connected by a bridge corridor, with a total construction floor area of ​​130,000m2.
