On February 6th, information from Vietnam Waste Treatment Company Limited (VWS) indicated that the company had donated a hemodialysis machine to People's Hospital 115, aiming to help poor patients access the service and reduce waiting times. The hemodialysis machine donated by VWS is valued at 350 million VND.

Dr. Tran Van Song, Deputy Director of People's Hospital 115, expressed his gratitude to VWS Company. VWS Company's donation of the dialysis machine came at a crucial time, as the hospital was implementing numerous programs for impoverished patients.

At People's Hospital 115, approximately 1,000 dialysis patients are currently being treated; furthermore, the hospital's Nephrology Department is the second-largest dialysis center in Vietnam in terms of patient volume. Patients with this disease face numerous difficulties, especially regarding the cost of dialysis and medication. Despite having health insurance, patients struggle with the financial burden of treatment.

As a tertiary care facility, People's Hospital 115 receives 350 emergency cases daily. Dr. Tran Van Song said: "The number of dialysis machines is also a burden for the Nephrology Department because there are only enough for patients undergoing regular dialysis, while the number of emergency cases is insufficient. Therefore, when VWS Company donated dialysis machines to the hospital, it was very valuable. One machine like this can help 3-4 patients per day receive dialysis, and hundreds of patients each month can receive dialysis."

Through this, Dr. Tran Van Song also hopes that VWS Company will continue to support poor patients at the hospital, helping them have better conditions to receive good care.

Mr. David Duong, Chairman and CEO of VWS Company, shared: "We are very happy to be able to partner with and support the hospital in providing better care for disadvantaged patients. We will continue to implement many support programs for the hospital in the future."
