Specifically, a social media post reported that hundreds of passengers on a night flight from Da Nang to Ho Chi Minh City, which landed at Tan Son Nhat Airport at 0:20 AM on June 15th, had to wait in the jet bridge because one of the windows remained open. The stuffy and tiring conditions caused frustration among many.
Following the complaints, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requested the Southern Airports Authority to take the lead and coordinate with Tan Son Nhat International Airport, the Border Police, and other relevant units to urgently clarify the cause and strictly handle any individuals or organizations found to have committed violations.
At the same time, the department directed a review of all passenger service procedures and an assessment of coordination regulations between units to promptly address shortcomings and ensure service quality and passenger rights.
One passenger on this flight reported that hundreds of people were standing waiting in the middle of the night, with no one to guide them or open the doors.
It wasn't until later that a representative from the airline managed to get security personnel to open the gate. They even argued in front of passengers because of the wrong gate. The Civil Aviation Authority emphasized that the incident at Tan Son Nhat needs to be clarified to prevent similar situations from recurring, especially during the peak summer travel season.
