
At the meeting, sharing the history and tradition of the friendly relations between Vietnam and China, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that in the history of the revolutionary struggle of the Communist Party of China and the Communist Party of Vietnam , the two Parties have had a close relationship of mutual assistance that all generations of people in both countries will always remember and be proud of.
Over the past 40 years, China and Vietnam have supported each other in training a large number of students and researchers. After graduating and returning to their respective countries, they have applied their acquired cultural and linguistic knowledge to contribute positively to the socio -economic development and national defense and security of both countries, strengthening the bilateral friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and China.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Hiep expressed his belief that the meeting will help the younger generations of the two countries better understand the history of friendly relations between the two peoples. They will have more motivation to study and foster a sense of responsibility to inherit and promote the tradition of "the close Vietnam-China relationship, both comrades and brothers", on the foundation of peace, friendship and good neighborliness established and laid by President Ho Chi Minh and Chairman Mao Zedong and cultivated by generations of leaders of the two countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tang Li, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, shared highlights of the solidarity and friendship between China and Vietnam. He stated that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam and is designated as the "Year of Cultural Exchange," emphasizing the need to continue preserving and inheriting the tradition of friendship between the two countries, and to cherish the beautiful memories of the "close relationship between Vietnam and China, both comrades and brothers."

Today's meeting not only contributes to the implementation of the high-level common understanding of the two Parties and two countries on preserving and developing the friendly relations between the two countries, but also encourages generations of international students and young people to continue to inherit and promote the Sino-Vietnamese friendship tradition, making new contributions to the cause of building and developing each country.
Mr. Duong Lap affirmed his readiness to cooperate with the Union of Friendship Organizations of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnam-China Friendship Association of Ho Chi Minh City in activities promoting friendship between generations of Vietnam and China; deepening substantive cooperation, strengthening connections to meet development needs between Chinese localities and Ho Chi Minh City; and promoting people-to-people exchanges, cultural cooperation, and tourism that benefit the people…

At the meeting, representatives of many generations of former military students and Vietnamese students studying abroad, including students from the Southern region, shared and recalled memories of their years living and studying at Chinese schools.
