Rescue of young man with liver injury due to fall from height of 7 m

On June 4, information from Mong Cai City Medical Center (Quang Ninh) said that the unit had just saved the life of Mr. HVH (27 years old, from Nghe An) who fell from a height of 7 meters while working on a construction project. The patient was hospitalized in a state of severe shock due to grade 4 liver injury and closed chest trauma.

Doctors at Mong Cai City Medical Center ( Quang Ninh ) promptly saved the life of a young man who fell onto a hard surface from a height of 7 meters.

Recognizing this as an emergency, the on-duty team quickly administered anesthesia and transferred the patient straight to the operating room.

After 4 hours of surgery, the operation was successful. The patient was transferred to the Emergency Department for further treatment. The injuries to the patient's arm and many other areas were treated.

The young man has passed the critical stage.

Doctor Vu The Cau, Deputy Head of the Department of Surgery, Mong Cai City Medical Center, said that cases of work accidents involving falls from heights onto hard surfaces and complex injuries make emergency treatment difficult.

According to Dr. Vu The Cau, quick and accurate assessment and diagnosis of injuries, along with urgent and close coordination between specialists, will help cases like patient H. overcome the critical stage and recover quickly.
