On June 4th, information from the Mong Cai City Medical Center (Quang Ninh province) indicated that the unit had just saved the life of Mr. HVH (27 years old, from Nghe An province) who fell from a height of 7 meters while working on a construction project. The patient was admitted to the hospital in a state of severe shock due to grade 4 liver injury and blunt chest trauma.
Doctors at Mong Cai City Medical Center ( Quang Ninh province) promptly saved the life of a young man who fell onto a hard surface from a height of 7 meters.
Recognizing this as an emergency, the on-duty team promptly administered anesthesia and transferred the patient directly to the operating room.
After a four-hour surgery, the operation was successful. The patient was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit for further treatment. The injuries to the patient's arm and other areas were treated.
The young man is out of critical condition.
Dr. Vu The Cau, Deputy Head of the Surgery Department at Mong Cai City Medical Center, said that cases of workplace accidents involving falls from heights onto hard surfaces often result in complex injuries, making emergency treatment difficult.
According to Dr. Vu The Cau, the rapid and accurate assessment and diagnosis of injuries, along with urgent and close coordination between specialties, will help cases like patient H. overcome the critical stage and recover quickly.
