NDO - On March 13, Dr. Truong Tu Trach, Deputy Director of Soc Trang General Hospital, said that a 52-year-old male patient, TKN, was hospitalized in a state of cardiac and respiratory arrest and was saved and discharged after 3 days of emergency care and treatment.
Previously, Mr. TKN, residing in Tran De district, Soc Trang province, was admitted to Hoang Tuan General Hospital in a state of cardiac and respiratory arrest. Here, the patient received cardiopulmonary resuscitation, restoring his heart rate and breathing.
Immediately afterwards, the emergency team held a consultation and decided to transfer the patient to the Provincial General Hospital for cardiovascular emergency treatment.
When the General Emergency Department, Soc Trang General Hospital received the patient, N. was in critical condition, with lethargic consciousness, weak pulse, blood pressure dropping to only 70/40mmHg, and arrhythmia. The General Emergency Department initiated an alarm for the entire hospital in all departments: Intensive Care, Interventional Cardiology, etc.

The emergency team held an emergency consultation, resuscitated the patient and transferred him to the cardiac catheterization lab for coronary angiography. The results showed that the patient had a complete blockage of the left coronary artery branch (LAD I). The cardiovascular intervention team, under the direct guidance of Dr. Truong Tu Trach, performed stent placement to re-open the left coronary artery.
After 3 days of intensive treatment, patient N.'s chest pain was gone, his shortness of breath was reduced, his heart rate was regular, and he could be removed from the ventilator. The patient was stable and discharged from the hospital in normal health condition.

Thanks to the inter-hospital red alert process and the hospital-wide red alert process, doctors were able to save the patient's life in time. Timely detection and intervention helped the patient recover quickly without leaving any sequelae.
