On behalf of Dak Nong province, Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, representatives of relevant departments and branches attended and witnessed.

On Jeju province's side, there were Mr. Seokchan Kang, representative of UNESCO Jeju Global Geopark and members of the World Heritage Management Board, Jeju Special Autonomous Province attending and witnessing.

At the program, witnessed by members of the two units, representatives of the World Heritage Management Board, Jeju Special Autonomous Province and Dak Nong Center for Investment Promotion, Business Support and Geopark Management signed a memorandum of understanding based on mutual benefits and understanding through active exchange and cooperation on the contents.

In particular, the two sides actively exchange knowledge and experience related to the conservation and exploitation of global geoparks; coordinate common activities in both regions and carry out mutual promotion activities.

This Memorandum of Understanding is effective for five years from the date of signing.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Seokchan Kang, representative of UNESCO Jeju Global Geopark, said that the signing ceremony of the twinning agreement marked a milestone in the effective cooperation between the two geoparks. Thereby, it will further enhance and strengthen the relationship between the two geoparks in particular and the two localities of Dak Nong (Vietnam) and Jeju (Korea).

Representative of UNESCO Dak Nong Global Geopark, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Hieu, Director of the Center for Investment Promotion, Enterprise Support and Management of Dak Nong Geopark, believes and expects that, after today's twinning ceremony, the two Geoparks will have more cooperation activities to promote the increasingly deep friendship, contributing to the sustainable development of the two Geoparks and the two countries.
