On the Dak Nong province side, Ms. Ton Thi Ngoc Hanh, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments and agencies, attended and witnessed the event.

Representing Jeju Province were Mr. Seokchan Kang, representative of the UNESCO Jeju Global Geopark, along with members of the Jeju Special Autonomous Region World Heritage Management Board, who attended and witnessed the event.

At the event, in the presence of members from both organizations, representatives from the Jeju World Heritage Site Management Board and the Dak Nong Center for Investment Promotion, Business Support and Geopark Management signed a memorandum of understanding based on mutual benefit and understanding through active exchange and cooperation on various topics.

In this context, both sides actively exchange knowledge and experience related to the conservation and exploitation of global geoparks; coordinate joint activities in both areas and carry out mutual promotional activities.
The two sides conduct reciprocal visits to promote mutual understanding and enhance cooperation; exchange best practices on visitor management systems and sustainable tourism ; and exchange knowledge and experience on climate change mitigation and adaptation, etc.
This memorandum of understanding is valid for five years from the date of signing.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mr. Seokchan Kang, representative of the UNESCO Global Geopark Jeju, said that the signing of the twinning agreement marks a successful collaboration between the two geoparks. This will further enhance and strengthen the relationship between the two geoparks in particular, and between Dak Nong (Vietnam) and Jeju (South Korea) in general.

Representing the UNESCO Global Geopark Dak Nong, Mr. Dinh Ngoc Hieu, Director of the Center for Investment Promotion, Business Support and Geopark Management of Dak Nong, expressed his belief and expectation that, following today's twinning ceremony, the two geoparks will have more cooperative activities to further deepen their friendly relationship, contributing to the sustainable development of both geoparks and both countries.
