Disbursed more than 28 trillion VND of capital for Component 3 Project, Long Thanh Airport

(DN) - According to the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), currently, the total capital disbursed for Component Project 3, construction of essential works in the airport, Long Thanh International Airport Project Phase 1 is more than 28 trillion VND.

Component 3 Project has 14 packages, of which 3 have completed construction including: construction of airport boundary fence within 1,810 hectares (construction area of ​​Long Thanh Airport phase 1); leveling and drainage; construction of passenger terminal piles.

Currently, the remaining 11 packages of the project are being implemented simultaneously. The consortium of contractors for the remaining packages of the project is mobilizing nearly 14,000 experts, engineers, workers, laborers and about 3,000 pieces of equipment and machinery to serve the construction of the packages.

Component 3 Project, Long Thanh Airport Phase 1 Project will invest in the construction of essential works in the airport with 2 runways, 1 passenger terminal and auxiliary items, synchronously serving exploitation according to the designed capacity of 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo per year.

This project has a total investment of more than 99 trillion VND. Component 3 project started construction in early 2021. According to the Prime Minister 's request, the project will be basically completed by the end of 2025 and put into commercial operation in the first half of 2026, synchronized with other component projects of Long Thanh Airport Project Phase 1.
