Da Nang: First time organizing Christmas Festival

The Da Nang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 will take place over 20 days (December 14, 2024 to January 2, 2025).

On November 19th, the Da Nang City Department of Tourism held a press conference to announce the Danang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 (Danang X'mas – New Year Festival 2025).

Information presented at the press conference indicated that the Da Nang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025, the first of its kind organized by Da Nang city, will take place over 20 days (from December 14, 2024 to January 2, 2025) at three main locations: the North Landscape Platform, East Bank of the Dragon Bridge and the East Bank of the Dragon Bridge Park (the area along Tran Hung Dao - Ly Nam De Street); the North Landscape Platform, West Bank of the Dragon Bridge (opposite VTV8); and the South Landscape Platform, West Bank of the Dragon Bridge (opposite the Cham Sculpture Museum).

Many unique and novel recreational activities will be organized by Da Nang's tourism industry in collaboration with partners from December 14, 2024 to January 2, 2025, according to the festival's theme, such as:

Christmas and New Year 2025 check-in area (from 5 PM to 10:30 PM); Lighting of the illuminated Christmas tree (from 7:30 PM on December 14, 2024) at the northern landscaped area, west bank of Dragon Bridge, opposite VTV8.

The opening ceremony of the Da Nang Christmas and New Year Festival 2025 will take place from 5 PM to 10 PM on December 20, 2024, at the northern landscaped area, east bank of the Dragon Bridge and the East Bank of the Dragon Bridge Park (the land area along Tran Hung Dao - Ly Nam De streets).

"Have Fun with Santa" Parade (7 PM, December 20, 2024) From Bach Dang Pedestrian Street (Bach Dang - 2nd September intersection) - Lighted Christmas Tree at the northern landscape platform, west bank of Dragon Bridge (opposite VTV8).

Christmas Market - Welcoming the New Year 2025 (from 5 PM to 10:30 PM) at the East Bank of Dragon Bridge Park (Tran Hung Dao - Ly Nam De Street area); Entertainment and experience space (from 7 PM to 10 PM) on the East Bank of Dragon Bridge; Art performance program (from 8 PM to 10 PM) at the North landscaped area, East Bank of Dragon Bridge; Gift giving and fun with Santa Claus. (8 PM on December 24, 2024) at the northern landscape platform, east bank of the Dragon Bridge.

Numerous art programs, shows, and entertainment activities in 7 districts and tourist areas throughout the city are also organized and connected throughout the festival…

Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An expressed confidence that the first-ever Da Nang Christmas - New Year Festival 2025 will serve as a foundation for developing into an annual event, enriching the cultural life of the people, and becoming an attractive destination for tourists during the year-end holiday season.
