The only university in Vietnam in the top 100 best schools in Asia 2023

According to the Times Higher Education (THE) ranking list, this year Vietnam has 6 universities ranked. Of which, Ton Duc Thang University is the top in Vietnam, ranked 86th in Asia.

5 universities in the top 600 include: Duy Tan University (rank 106), Hanoi National University (rank 351 - 400), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (rank 501 - 600), Ho Chi Minh City National University (rank 501 - 600) and Hue University (rank 601+).

Last year, two Vietnamese schools were in the top 100: Ton Duc Thang University - ranked 73rd and Duy Tan University - 91st.

This year, THE ranked 669 higher education institutions in 31 countries and territories in Asia. Japan is the country with the most representatives ranked this year, with 117 schools.

China's Tsinghua University and Peking University hold the top spot for the fourth consecutive year.

THE is the most prestigious and influential university ranking organization in the world , alongside the rankings of QS and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China).

THE's Asian University Rankings are based on 13 indicators and 5 groups of fields: Teaching (learning environment), accounting for 25%; Research (volume, income and reputation), accounting for 30%; Scientific citations (research influence), accounting for 30%; International outlook (attracting international lecturers, students and research), accounting for 7.5%; Industry income (knowledge transfer efficiency), accounting for 7.5%.
