On April 5th, the Lawyers' Association of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Department held its 5th Congress for the 2024-2029 term.

The Congress is being held at a significant time, commemorating the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Lawyers Association (April 4, 1955 - April 4, 2024), and in preparation for the 5th Congress of the Hoa Binh Provincial Lawyers Association, term 2024-2029, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, term 2024-2029.

During its 4th term, 2017-2024, under the close guidance and supervision of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors of the Provincial Police Department, and the Standing Committee of the Hoa Binh Provincial Lawyers Association, the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Lawyers Association Branch has closely followed its functions, tasks, and activity program, achieving many positive results, especially in the dissemination of legal information;

Participate in providing input for the drafting of legal documents; do a good job of building a clean and strong branch association; participate in receiving, investigating, and resolving criminal cases, ensuring that the right person is charged with the right crime, in accordance with the law, contributing to ensuring security and order in the province, and serving socio-economic goals. Maintain security, order, and social safety in the province.

The team of lawyers in the Provincial Police Branch has been actively contributing to the building of a socialist rule of law state, bringing law into life, strengthening the rule of law, and maintaining legal discipline with the spirit of being lawyers ready to help people with the law, acting as legal communicators for the people and for justice. They contribute to raising people's awareness of law compliance and maintaining security, order, and social safety in the province.

The Congress elected five members to the Executive Committee of the 5th term, 2024-2029. The Executive Committee elected Lieutenant Colonel Bui Viet Hung, Deputy Director of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police, as the Head of the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Lawyers Association Branch. The Congress also elected 10 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 5th Congress of the Hoa Binh Provincial Lawyers Association, 2024-2029.

Speaking at the Congress, Lawyer Quach Dinh Minh – Standing Vice Chairman of the Hoa Binh Provincial Lawyers Association – highly appreciated the activities of the Provincial Police Lawyers Association Branch in the previous term, considering it one of the highlights of the Branches.

At the same time, it is requested that the Police Lawyers Association Branch in the new term should effectively implement the goals, tasks, and solutions outlined in the Congress documents. It should also effectively implement the cooperation program between the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Lawyers Association signed on January 26, 2024.

Emphasis is placed on training members to enhance their legal knowledge, developing legal policies, disseminating legal education, grassroots mediation, legal counseling, and providing legal assistance to citizens.

Continue to strengthen the organization of the Association, improve the quality of its activities, and closely follow the tasks of the agency, unit, and the Provincial Lawyers Association. At the same time, effectively carry out the tasks of the Association and its members. Strictly adhere to the Association's Charter, protect the legitimate rights and interests of its members, and unite and gather members to build a strong and thriving Association.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial Lawyers Association emphasized that during this period, the Provincial Police Lawyers Association Branch is actively participating in activities to celebrate the 5th Congress of the Hoa Binh Provincial Lawyers Association, term 2024-2029, leading up to the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Lawyers Association, term 2024-2029, to contribute to the resounding success of the Lawyers Association Congresses at all levels.

With the goal and task of successfully implementing the Resolution of the 5th Congress, term 2024-2029, and the assigned political tasks, the Hoa Binh Provincial Police Lawyers Association continues to thoroughly understand, deploy, and implement the Directives and Plans of the Central Government and Hoa Binh province, creating a new transformation in the awareness and actions of all members.

Effectively carry out the work of policy and legal development, legal consultation, legal assistance, legal education and dissemination, participate in resolving complaints and denunciations, mediation at the grassroots level, and monitoring the implementation of laws; respond to and actively participate in the emulation movements launched annually by the Provincial Association to celebrate important events of the province and the country.

Continue to strengthen and develop a robust association, clearly affirming the nature, position, role, function, and responsibilities of the People's Public Security officers and members of the Lawyers Association, and coordinate effectively with the Provincial Association Office to carry out the Association's tasks effectively .
