At the Congress, delegates focused on discussing and contributing ideas on Promoting the strength of national solidarity, contributing to the successful implementation of socio -economic development goals and participating in building a clean and strong Party and government; experience in implementing the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas in Bac Ai district for the period 2021 - 2025; preserving and promoting the cultural identity of ethnic groups associated with community tourism development; promoting the potential strengths of regions to produce goods according to the value chain under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas for the period 2021-2025.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Council emphasized that ethnic affairs and implementation of ethnic policies are extremely important, strategic, and long-term political tasks in the local development process. To achieve the goals set by the Congress, together with the investment support of the Central Government, the Ninh Thuan Provincial People's Committee will continue to prioritize allocating resources to invest in synchronous development of infrastructure, especially in transportation, energy, information and communication, trade services, health care, education, clean water, culture, and sports, creating conditions to promote socio-economic development, narrowing the development gap between regions.
Continue to take care of building a team of ethnic minority cadres, implement democratic regulations at the grassroots level; further promote the role of village chiefs, clan chiefs, and prestigious people to lead and mobilize people to effectively implement policies and guidelines; step up the work of preserving and promoting the fine traditional values of ethnic groups in association with the development of services and community tourism .
On this occasion, the Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 5 individuals; 5 individuals were awarded the Medal for the cause of ethnic development. The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province awarded Certificates of Merit to 13 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements, typically contributing to the socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2019-2024.
