On May 16 and 17, the 15th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Thach Thanh district, term 2024-2029, took place.

During the past term, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Thach Thanh district has made efforts and responsibilities to overcome difficulties, actively innovated the content and methods of operation, effectively implemented 5 action programs and targets and tasks of the Resolution of the District Fatherland Front Congress for the 2019-2024 term.

Implementing the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", in the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and its member organizations mobilized the people to donate 157,526m2 ^of land, contribute nearly 5,000 working days, and more than 3,905 billion VND to build rural roads, build new ones, and repair social welfare works. Up to now, the whole district has 113/170 villages meeting new rural standards, 6 villages meeting model new rural standards; 11/23 communes meeting new rural standards, and 1 commune meeting advanced new rural standards.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has actively called on and mobilized cadres, workers, civil servants, employees, businesses, and philanthropists to join hands in contributing to the "For the Poor" Fund with an amount of nearly 6.1 billion VND. It has mobilized and called for 39,163 gifts, worth nearly 16.6 billion VND to take care of the poor, policy families, orphans in difficult circumstances during Tet....

Promoting the people's mastery and participation in Party building and government building is increasingly clearer in terms of organization and implementation methods; social supervision and criticism activities are implemented with increasingly strict and effective processes.

The Congress set out 10 targets and 6 action programs of the District Fatherland Front Committee for the 2024-2029 term with specific goals, tasks and solutions.

Speaking at the congress, Secretary of Thach Thanh District Party Committee Nguyen Van Dat and Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Le Hong Phong acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements of the Fatherland Front at all levels in Thach Thanh district; at the same time, frankly pointed out the limitations in directing and organizing the implementation of the tasks of the Front in the past term.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the comrades suggested that the district Fatherland Front continue to pay attention to performing well the role and functions of the Fatherland Front in the current period. Innovate and improve the quality of implementing campaigns and patriotic emulation movements in a practical and effective direction, focusing on residential areas. Organize well self-management activities in the community; promote democracy, create social consensus; promote democracy, create social consensus; proactively and actively participate in Party building and government building. Regularly coordinate closely with authorities at all levels to organize meetings with voters, dialogue, listen to the people, create high consensus in society. Effectively carry out the work of supervision and social criticism in the spirit of Directive 18 and regulations of the Party and State.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Congress democratically elected 61 members to join the Fatherland Front Committee of Thach Thanh district, term XV, 2024-2029.

At the first conference, the 15th District Fatherland Front Committee elected 3 members to join the Standing Committee of the District Fatherland Front Committee. Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, was re-elected as Chairman of the 15th District Fatherland Front Committee, term 2024-2029.

The Congress also consulted and elected 9 members to attend the 15th Provincial Fatherland Front Congress, term 2024-2029.
