Over the past five years, the Elderly Association in Dak Glong district has effectively played the role of "Elderly people - Shining examples," making positive contributions to socio-economic development and the building of national unity.

The entire district has over 4,300 elderly members; of which 133 are directly involved in holding positions at the grassroots level. In addition, 26% of the elderly participate in labor, production, and business. Annually, 62% of elderly families meet the criteria for a new cultural family and receive the title of "Exemplary Grandparents, Parents, and Filial Children"; families that participate in sports; and families that prioritize education.
The association maintains 8 clubs for poetry, gong playing, arts and sports with 365 participating members, contributing to preserving and promoting the national cultural identity.

In the movement to protect national security and maintain public order, the association at all levels successfully mediated 116 cases in villages and hamlets. The association actively participated in socio-political activities. Members proactively studied and thoroughly understood the guidelines and policies of the Party and the State.
Through interactions with voters and elections, the representatives of the elderly have contributed many heartfelt and frank opinions, truthfully reflecting the aspirations of the people. This has significantly contributed to social oversight and criticism, urging government agencies at all levels to promptly address pressing issues, and helping to maintain political stability and social order.
With many achievements over the past 5 years, the Elderly Association of Dak Glong district has had 4 collectives awarded certificates of merit by the Central Association and many other collectives and individuals receiving awards at the provincial and district levels.
