Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan – Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation, in charge of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Lak province – has been appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province.
On July 30th, information from the People's Committee of Dak Lak province indicated that the Chairman of the People's Committee, Pham Ngoc Nghi, had signed Decision No. 2068/QD-UBND regarding the recruitment and appointment of civil servants to leadership and management positions.
Accordingly, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan – Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation, in charge of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Lak province – has been appointed as Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak.
The term of appointment is 5 years, effective from August 1, 2024.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan became the first female official to hold the position of Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak province.
Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan, born on December 15, 1977, is of the M'Nong ethnic group. Her hometown is Da M'Rong commune, Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province.
Professional qualifications: PhD in Folklore Studies, Bachelor of Arts in Literature Education; Political theory level: Advanced.
During her more than 20 years of teaching and working in the education sector of Dak Lak province (1999 – 2021), Ms. Le Thi Thanh Xuan has held many positions, from teacher and school/department-level administrator to Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training and President of the Provincial Education Sector Trade Union. Regardless of her position, Ms. Xuan has always wholeheartedly dedicated herself to the local education cause, especially in remote areas and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities.
In October 2020, Ms. Xuan was elected to the Executive Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee. In March 2021, she was transferred by the Provincial Party Committee to the position of Secretary of the Buon Ho Town Party Committee.
Since July 2021, Ms. Xuan has been a Member of the 15th National Assembly, a member of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council, and the Deputy Head of the Dak Lak Provincial Delegation of the National Assembly.
It is known that Ms. Xuan's predecessor, Mr. Pham Dang Khoa – Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak – will officially retire according to regulations from August 1, 2024.
