This is a musical and cultural event of special significance to honor 50 years of Vietnam-Germany friendship, promote the image of Vietnam's integration and development, and affirm the role of art in people's diplomacy .
The music night "A Rhapsody of Two Worlds" features the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Tubingen Academy (Germany) - Conductor Philipp Amelung.

The Tubingen Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1957, is one of Germany's most prestigious orchestras, known for its spirit of international cultural exchange and its orientation towards nurturing young talents. The orchestra has performed more than 70 tours in more than 90 countries and territories, bringing to the public creative programs that are both academic and encourage community connections, and regularly participates in prestigious international festivals.
Conductor Philipp Amelung is one of the most versatile and influential conductors of his generation in Germany. Coming from the Tolzer Knabenchor – Europe’s leading children’s choir – he continued his artistic path with a solid foundation at the Munich University of Music, before collaborating with many major orchestras in Germany, the Czech Republic and the United States. In 2011, he took on the position of Music Director of the University of Tubingen, directly conducting the orchestra and choir, and expanding international cooperation with many countries.
The program also featured the presence of Professor and artist Dang Ngoc Long, currently living and working in Berlin (Germany), one of the prominent Vietnamese classical guitarists in the international arena. He is the Principal of the Berlin School of Music - Gesundbrunnen, Chairman of the Artistic Council of the Berlin International Guitar Competition and the first Vietnamese person to have his name given to a music competition in Germany, “Long-Wettbewerb fur Sologitarre” (Long Guitar Solo Competition).
Returning to Vietnam, Professor and artist Dang Ngoc Long will introduce “Kieu Suite” - an outstanding work imbued with national identity, composed and performed by him with the Tubingen Symphony Orchestra. This work has been chosen for performance by many orchestras and artists in Germany.

Pianist Nguyen Viet Trung - a recipient of many prestigious international awards, currently studying for a PhD in Musical Arts at the Frost School of Music - University of Miami (USA) along with talented artists of the Sun Symphony Orchestra, violinist Do Phuong Nhi and cellist Tran Hong Nhung, also participated in the program.
In the concert program, besides “Kieu Suite” by Professor and artist Dang Ngoc Long written for guitar and symphony orchestra inspired by the literary masterpiece “Truyen Kieu” by Nguyen Du, the artists also performed other excellent classical music works.
