Fighting against distorted arguments. Lesson 2

Repelling the plots and schemes of hostile forces and protecting the Party, the State, and the revolutionary achievements of our ancestors is the top priority for every cadre and Party member in the current context.

Top priority

The examples mentioned in the previous article clearly demonstrate that hostile forces are using every means to obstruct innovation, hinder development, divide national unity, disrupt the political and social situation, and, when conditions permit, eliminate the leading role of our Party. In the face of these subversive tactics, protecting the Party and the State is now the top priority, both urgent and immediate, as well as fundamental, ongoing, and long-term.

To achieve this protection, each of us needs to uphold the spirit of national pride and unity. National pride is the spirit of valuing the core characteristics and values of our nation in order to preserve, utilize, and develop those characteristics and values to ensure territorial integrity, independence, self-reliance, and the enduring development of the nation. Unity, simply understood, is the gathering and formation of a unified bloc, working together for a common purpose… The combination of these two forms a sharp weapon that overcomes many difficulties, and even the most cunning and devious hostile forces will fail.

In the context of the current global and domestic situation, it is crucial to uphold national pride and unite in the struggle to thwart the schemes of hostile forces and those who are exploiting cyberspace to spread propaganda against the Party and the State. Therefore, concrete and practical actions are needed from Party committees, Party organizations, and governments at all levels, in each locality, agency, and unit, and from all cadres and Party members.

Specific actions

Promoting economic , cultural, and social development, eradicating hunger and poverty, combined with achieving social justice and continuously raising the intellectual level of the people; promptly and thoroughly resolving complaints, understanding the thoughts and aspirations of the people; proactively guiding public opinion, providing accurate and official information to the people, and preventing passive situations that cause instability at the grassroots level. In particular, focusing on and coordinating the decisive resolution of "hot spots" at the grassroots level, preventing prolonged delays that cause public resentment, and ensuring that those who oppose the Party and the State no longer have the opportunity to contribute to the subversion of our Party and State.

Furthermore, when people access information and documents, especially content expressing opinions on sensitive national issues disseminated on social media, they need to be vigilant in identifying what is good information, what is bad information, what is objectively based information, and what is distorted information. “A segment of the population is still naive and gullible, unable to distinguish between good and bad, acting impulsively based on the crowd effect. This is very dangerous for society, so it is necessary to be alert, vigilant, and recognize the intentions of malicious individuals to avoid them,” said Mr. Van Le from Phu Thuy ward (Phan Thiet city).

Along with that, it is crucial to do a good job of protecting internal political security, prioritizing prevention while also resolutely fighting to both protect and prevent the decline in political ideology within the party, and to stop the misuse of social criticism for ulterior motives and purposes. Media outlets, mass organizations, and the people need to coordinate closely, creating a combined force to identify and expose erroneous viewpoints, uncover reactionary and hostile conspiracies, and gradually isolate them on social media. Actively share and disseminate positive news, articles, and images, highlighting good examples in learning, work, production, and daily life... "using beauty to overcome ugliness." Raising revolutionary vigilance, not believing, accessing, or sharing harmful and toxic information contributes to the fight against and defeating all conspiracies and tactics of "peaceful evolution" by hostile and reactionary forces in cyberspace.

By doing so, we will create unity and solidarity, protect the Party's ideology, and safeguard the revolutionary achievements painstakingly built by our ancestors. As Uncle Ho wished before his passing: "The entire Party and all the people of Vietnam unite and strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic, and prosperous Vietnam, and make a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause."
