EDUCATION AND TRAINING LINKED TO CAREER ORIENTATION

Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Gia Lai Provincial Ethnic Boarding School (Pleiku City), President Vo Van Thuong praised and congratulated the school on its achievements over the past period; affirming the model of a specialized public school in the national education system for ethnic minority youth.

According to President Vo Van Thuong, the establishment of a system of ethnic boarding schools in particular, and prioritizing education for ethnic minorities in general, is an innovative policy, reflecting the strategic thinking and great concern of the Party and State for the children of ethnic minorities, with the goal of creating a source of qualified cadres and human resources for ethnic minority and mountainous regions. This is a timely and profoundly significant policy. Successfully implementing this policy will create a solid foundation to contribute to the welfare of ethnic minorities, a path to poverty alleviation, building a team of ethnic minority cadres for the political system, maintaining political security, and promoting socio-economic development in mountainous and remote areas.

For children in remote areas and ethnic minority communities, education is the best path to escape poverty and take control of their own destiny and future. Many of these children have less favorable starting points and living conditions compared to students in lowland and urban areas. Therefore, within the same educational program, schools and teachers must prioritize innovation in teaching methods, persistently and thoroughly employing the most appropriate pedagogical approaches to help students fill in knowledge gaps, avoiding the pursuit of high grades and achievements, and ensuring they learn thoroughly.

"The reality is that each individual possesses unique abilities; therefore, one of the important tasks of education is to identify the talents and strengths of each student early on in various fields, not just school subjects. Based on that, appropriate methods of education, training, and development can be developed, linked to career guidance that suits students' abilities and future living conditions," the President emphasized.

President Vo Van Thuong urged the school to prioritize the integration of theory and practice; to organize students to actively participate in labor, increase production, improve their daily lives, and maintain and beautify the school grounds… This will help students better understand their responsibilities to the collective, enhance discipline, consolidate knowledge, and develop life skills. Along with improving facilities, teaching and learning conditions, and boarding facilities, the school must fully implement the State's policies and regulations for students, affirming the superiority of the ethnic minority boarding school model, and absolutely not allowing any mistakes to occur.

"We must constantly care for and pay attention to the practical material and spiritual well-being of the students. Every teacher, administrator, and worker in the school must wholeheartedly dedicate themselves to their beloved students, loving them as their own children, and meticulously caring for them from their studies to their meals and sleep, especially when they are far from their families. The students must consider the Gia Lai Ethnic Boarding High School as their home; always cherish and remember the teachers, staff, and workers in the school who have given them such wonderful days under this roof. I hope that the students of the school will become successful in the future, and many of them will become teachers themselves, continuing the noble work of their teachers today," the President stated.

President Vo Van Thuong urged Party committees, Party organizations, the government, the Fatherland Front, mass organizations, parents, and the people of Gia Lai province to continue to give practical attention and make appropriate investments in the province's education in general and in ethnic boarding and semi-boarding schools in particular. It is essential to build a truly clean, healthy, and safe educational environment so that teachers and students can teach and learn in joy and happiness, maximizing their individual creative abilities, and making a significant contribution to the successful implementation of fundamental and comprehensive educational reforms in the country.

EDUCATION IS THE FOUNDATION FOR A PROSPEROUS AND HAPPY LIFE.

At the T78 Friendship School (Phuc Tho District, Hanoi), National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue affirmed that the Party and State always attach special importance to education, considering it a top national priority and always dedicating the best resources to caring for the cause of education, ensuring that all students, whether in the plains or in mountainous, border, or island areas, have access to education and equitable learning. This is the most fundamental foundation for liberating people from poverty and backwardness, enabling them to have a prosperous, free, and happy life, and building a strong and wealthy country.
