(HNMO) - From tonight (May 23), Hanoi and the provinces and cities in the eastern part of the Northern region will experience showers and thunderstorms, with cooler weather. In the following days, Hanoi will see less rain, and temperatures will tend to rise, especially in the afternoon.
The Northern Delta Regional Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that, due to the influence of a compressed low-pressure trough combined with upper-level wind convergence, from tonight (May 23) to tomorrow morning, many areas in Hanoi will experience thunderstorms, starting in the districts of Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, Chuong My, Ung Hoa, etc., with rainfall of 10-30mm/24 hours; strong northeast winds of level 2-3; mild weather, with temperatures generally ranging from 25-27 degrees Celsius. By noon and afternoon tomorrow (May 24), Hanoi will see a decrease in rain, and temperatures will rise, with the highest temperatures generally reaching 30-32 degrees Celsius, and 31-33 degrees Celsius in the city center.
From May 25th to 30th, the low-pressure system in the West tends to develop and expand towards the Southeast. Therefore, Hanoi will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening; sunshine during the midday and afternoon; southeasterly winds at level 2; and temperatures tending to rise, reaching hot weather levels on May 29th, 30th, and 31st.
In the remaining areas of the eastern part of Northern Vietnam and the provinces of Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected on the night of May 23rd and during the day of May 24th, with some areas experiencing heavy rain with rainfall amounts of 20-40mm/24 hours, and some areas exceeding 60mm/24 hours.
