Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Dang Thi Minh Hieu - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross - expressed her excitement that Ho Chi Minh City has another permanent blood donation point. "I hope the blood donation point will become larger and larger, not only receiving blood once a week but more than that, aiming to receive blood once a day. In addition to students at the dormitory, I hope the blood donation point will also attract students from neighboring universities," Ms. Hieu said.
Within the framework of the program, the dormitory coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Humanitarian Blood Donation Center to organize the first voluntary blood donation session and there were about 313 students registered to donate blood (as of 9:00 a.m. the same day).
Nguyen Thi Hien Thuc (first-year student) came for an early health check-up for her first blood donation - sharing: "A fixed blood donation point like this is very convenient for students living in dormitories and in need of donating blood like me. I am very happy that from now on, I can help the community by donating blood without having to travel far."

At the ceremony, 6 students who donated blood 3-4 times in 2024 were also honored and rewarded.
Huynh Bao Nhi (a second-year student) has donated blood four times through the dormitory's on-site blood donation program. According to Bao Nhi, donating blood is an act of expressing the spirit of mutual love of each individual to the community. For students in particular and young people in general, this action needs to be maintained and promoted. The fixed blood donation point at the dormitory helps to fulfill students' aspirations to contribute, towards a better community together every day.
