During a meeting with businesses and investors, the leaders of the Dien Bien Dong District People's Committee provided information on the results of socio -economic development, improvement of the investment and business environment, enhancement of competitiveness, and investment attraction in the first nine months of 2023. Currently, Dien Bien Dong district is attracting investment in several projects in the fields of culture - tourism, energy, and agriculture, including: the Muong Luan Eco-tourism Resort Project, with a total estimated investment of 55.9 billion VND; the Dien Bien Dong District Spiritual and Cultural Area Project; the Dien Bien Phu Urban, Service, and Cable Car Complex Project; the Muong Luan 2 Hydropower Plant Project; the Song Ma 2 Hydropower Plant Project; the Chieng So 2 Hydropower Plant Project; and four macadamia tree planting projects.
In the coming period, Dien Bien Dong district will continue to attract investment in areas where the district has potential and strengths, such as: tourism, resorts, and eco-tourism combined with high-end urban areas; renewable energy, production forestry; investment in macadamia nut processing plants; high-quality fruit processing plants; high-tech agricultural projects; and food processing projects using beef and pork... It is expected that each year, 10-12 businesses and investors will be attracted to the district to research, survey, and invest.
Representatives of the Provincial Business Association expressed gratitude for the attention and support provided by the Dien Bien Dong District Party Committee and People's Committee to businesses and investors, enabling them to effectively implement programs and projects in the area. Looking ahead, businesses and investors hope that the Party Committee and government at all levels in Dien Bien Dong District will continue to pay attention to and support them; promptly identify and resolve difficulties and obstacles, and create even more favorable conditions for businesses and investors to implement programs and projects in the area.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Dien Bien Dong district awarded certificates of commendation to 10 businesses, investors, and cooperatives that have made significant contributions to the socio-economic development and social welfare in Dien Bien Dong district.
