Dien Bien Dong meets with businesses, entrepreneurs, investors

Leaders of Dien Bien Dong district presented flowers to congratulate businesses and investors on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day, October 13.

Meeting with businesses, investors, leaders of the District People's Committee informed about the results of socio -economic development, improving the investment and business environment, enhancing competitiveness, attracting investment in the first 9 months of 2023. Currently, Dien Bien Dong district is attracting investment in a number of projects in the fields of culture - tourism, energy and agriculture including: Muong Luan Eco-tourism Resort Project, with a total estimated investment of 55.9 billion VND; Dien Bien Dong District Spiritual Cultural Area Project; Dien Bien Phu Urban, Service and Cable Car Complex Project; Muong Luan 2 Hydropower Plant Project; Song Ma 2 Hydropower Project; Chieng So 2 Hydropower Project and 4 macadamia planting projects.

In the coming time, Dien Bien Dong district will continue to carry out investment attraction activities in areas with potential and strengths such as: tourism, resorts, ecology combined with high-class urban areas; renewable energy, production forestation; investment in macadamia nut production and processing factories; high-quality fruit processing factories; high-tech agricultural projects; projects on food processing from beef, pork... It is expected to attract 10-12 enterprises and investors to the district each year to research, survey and invest.

Representatives of the Provincial Business Association thanked the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Dien Bien Dong District for their attention and support for businesses and investors to operate and effectively implement programs and projects in the area. In the coming time, businesses and investors hope that the Party Committee and authorities at all levels of Dien Bien Dong District will continue to pay attention and accompany businesses and investors; promptly grasp and find solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, and create more favorable conditions for businesses and investors to implement programs and projects in the area.

On this occasion, the District People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 10 enterprises, investors, and cooperatives that have made many contributions to the socio-economic development and social security in Dien Bien Dong district.
