The average score of Dien Bien candidates in 2025 reached 5.88, up three places compared to the 2024 exam (from 60th to 57th) - although 0.26 points lower than Dien Bien itself last year and in the context of the national average score also decreasing.
According to Mr. Cu Huy Hoan, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Dien Bien, the main reason is that 2025 is the first exam applying the 2018 GeneralEducation program, the exam questions are more clearly differentiated and focus on assessing actual abilities.

The notable highlight is English: with an average score of 5.32, Dien Bien ranked 4th nationwide, out of a total of 595 candidates taking this subject. The whole province had 118 papers with a score of 10, nearly double that of 2024. The graduation rate reached 99.53%.
This year's exam took place safely and seriously at 28 exam sites, with more than 7,500 candidates and more than 1,500 officials and teachers supervising the exam. It is expected that on July 18, the Department of Education and Training will announce the graduation recognition results; candidates can submit their appeal applications until July 25. The registration and adjustment period for university and college admission lasts from July 16 to July 28, and candidates can make unlimited changes within the above time frame.
