On his personal page, Novak Djokovic shared: “Dear Paris, unfortunately I will not be competing at the Paris Masters this year. I have many great memories and great successes here, especially when I won this tournament 7 times. Hope to see you again next season.”

The Serbian star did not give a reason, but international media said Nole wanted to focus on the ATP Finals 2025. The Paris Masters 2025 will take place in Paris (France) from October 27 to November 2, while the tournament for the top 8 players, the ATP Finals 2025, will take place in Turin (Italy) from November 9 to November 16.
Djokovic will also not be participating in two ATP 500 tournaments this week, the Vienna Open (Austria) and Basel Open (Switzerland). After being eliminated in the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters 2025, the 1987-born player needs time to rest and regain his best physical condition.
Apart from Djokovic, the Paris Masters 2025 is likely to miss Jannik Sinner. The Italian star is attending the Vienna Open 2025 and will play his opening match against Daniel Altmaier at 10:30 p.m. today (October 22). After that, Sinner will have a long rest before entering the ATP Finals.
Sinner also announced that he would not participate in the 2025 Davis Cup with the Italian team: "I have won the Davis Cup twice. I decided to withdraw from the Davis Cup because the season was long and I needed an extra week of rest to start training earlier. The goal is to reach peak form at the 2026 Australian Open."

In the 2025 Davis Cup, Ugo Humbert and Arthur Rinderknech will be the mainstays for France in the first quarter-final against the Belgian team of Zizou Bergs and Raphael Collignon. In the second quarter-final, Italy will face the Austrian team of Filip Misolic and Jurij Rodionov.
Carlos Alcaraz of Spain will face the Czech Republic of top 20 players Jiri Lehecka and Jakub Mensik. In the final quarter-final, Jan Lennard Struff and Yannick Hanfmann will join Alexander Zverev of Germany to face Argentina of Francisco Cerundolo and Tomas Martin Etcheverry.
