On the morning of June 22nd, a delegation from the Standing Committee of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee visited and worked at the Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park (Thai Thuy district).
Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, delivered a speech at the working session.
Attending the working session were: Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province; Comrade Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province; Comrade Lam Minh Dang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Tra Vinh; Comrade Le Van Han, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Vinh province; and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee, and the National Assembly Delegation of Thai Binh and Tra Vinh provinces.
Comrade Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province, delivered a speech at the working session.
Representatives from Green i-Park Joint Stock Company provided an overview of the geographical location, advantages in infrastructure quality, policy mechanisms, and investment attraction progress of Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park. This industrial park is strategically positioned by Thai Binh province to attract high-tech projects and circular production chains that are environmentally friendly. To date, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has attracted over 20 domestic and foreign investors from countries and territories such as South Korea, Singapore, China, and Taiwan, with a total registered investment capital of approximately US$1.3 billion, of which 6 projects have been completed and are operational. Since the beginning of this year alone, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has attracted 4 projects with a total investment of approximately US$80 million, bringing the occupancy rate to 45%. From its inception, Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park has focused on implementing and orienting growth solutions aimed at developing into a smart and sustainable industrial park.
Comrade Vu Kim Cu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Management Board, gave an overview of the Thai Binh Economic Zone, investment incentives, and the handling of administrative procedures using the "5-in-1" approach. He also approved four infrastructure investment projects and projects currently under construction. From 2021-2023, the Economic Zone attracted over VND 104,000 billion in investment, with FDI reaching nearly USD 3.7 billion. The presence of projects from leading global investors in the Thai Binh Economic Zone, such as Green i-Park, Pegavision, Lotes, Compal, Greenworks, VSIP, Tokyo Gas, and Kyuden, has placed Thai Binh on the map as one of Vietnam's most attractive investment destinations for the past three years.
Comrade Vu Kim Cu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Parks Management Board, introduced the work of attracting investment and developing infrastructure in Thai Binh.
The leaders of Tra Vinh province also provided information on the location, geography, potential, development situation, and investment attraction results of the Dinh An Economic Zone, which has a total area of over 39,000 hectares.
Members of the working group from the Standing Committee of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee exchanged views and highly appreciated the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee for their decisive and creative approach in implementing and promptly resolving difficulties to establish and effectively operate the Thai Binh Economic Zone; they also exchanged experiences on land clearance, supporting businesses with procedures, selecting investors, support mechanisms, and creating a red carpet to attract investors...
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Ngo Dong Hai, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, emphasized: Thai Binh and Tra Vinh provinces have two fairly similar economic zones, and this meeting is an opportunity for both sides to learn from each other and work together to develop these economic zones.
The comrade affirmed: Industrial development is a great dream and aspiration, but achieving it is extremely difficult and arduous. Thai Binh established the Economic Zone while simultaneously learning from experience. With high determination, decisive involvement from the province to the grassroots level and infrastructure investors, and intensified propaganda and persuasion efforts to create consensus, especially in land clearance, difficulties and obstacles have been gradually overcome, leading to the construction and development of the Thai Binh Economic Zone with positive results, contributing to the promotion of the province's industry in particular and socio-economic development in general.
The Provincial Party Secretary also stated that Thai Binh has applied the highest preferential policies under the law to attract investment into the Thai Binh Economic Zone, including the Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park. In addition, the province also has its own incentives such as streamlined administrative procedures, human resource training, and provision of other technical infrastructure for infrastructure investors and secondary businesses… which has instilled confidence in businesses.
The comrade congratulated Tra Vinh province on the effective implementation of key projects in the province over the past period, which has laid the foundation for the strong development of the Dinh An Economic Zone and other industrial parks in the province; and expressed the hope that Tra Vinh and Thai Binh provinces would continue to strengthen and consolidate their close relationship of "unwavering loyalty and deep affection" after 65 years of fraternal ties, accompanying each other in the socio-economic development of the two provinces.
Comrade Ngo Chi Cuong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province, highly appreciated the results that Thai Binh province has achieved, especially in attracting infrastructure investors to industrial parks in the Thai Binh Economic Zone, particularly Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park.
The Secretary of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee expressed his hope that this practical working session would help the members of the working group of the Standing Committee of the Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee learn many experiences in operating and attracting investment, and developing the Dinh An Economic Zone of the province.
