On October 23, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee and Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park organized an investment promotion conference, attracting 150 domestic and Thai enterprises to participate. This event marked Gia Lai's efforts in inviting foreign investors, especially from Thailand, to the province's potential sectors.
At the conference, many Thai businesses and investors expressed their deep interest in investment opportunities in Gia Lai. The areas of interest include agriculture , especially high-tech agriculture, industry, aviation, auto parts, furniture and logistics.

Investors discussed thoroughly about traffic infrastructure conditions, preferential policies for foreign enterprises such as taxes, energy (electricity, water), human resources and labor wages.
Within the framework of the event, Becamex Group and the Federation of Thai Industries signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to support Thai enterprises in accessing the investment environment in Vietnam.
Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Thai Business Association in Vietnam, not only establishing a long-term relationship but also supporting Thai businesses to learn about the investment environment in Gia Lai and vice versa.
Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that Thailand is one of the province's stable investment partners, with 9 FDI projects in operation, with a total registered capital of more than 100 million USD.
Mr. Hoang affirmed that Gia Lai identified Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban and Service Park as an important core, playing the role of a gateway to receive high-quality FDI capital flows, including Thai enterprises.
“We hope that Thai corporations and businesses with strong potential, especially in fields such as high-tech agricultural processing, supporting industries, and logistics, will come to learn about and invest in Gia Lai province,” said Mr. Hoang.

Mr. Hoang also informed more about the potential of Gia Lai, with the second largest area in the country, a diversified economy , fertile land, abundant raw materials and synchronous transport infrastructure.
The province owns 2 airports, National Highway 1, the North-South Expressway is about to open, Quy Nhon Port is in operation. In addition, Gia Lai is preparing to invest in the North-South high-speed railway project and the Phu My seaport project.
In terms of energy, the province aims to become a clean energy center of Vietnam, fully meeting the needs of socio-economic development. With a population of more than 3.5 million people, Gia Lai has an abundant source of young, well-trained human resources with competitive salaries.
Mr. Truong Minh, Deputy Director of the Foreign Investment Agency (Ministry of Finance) pledged to continue to accompany Gia Lai and the business community, promote institutional reform, improve the investment environment, and create the most favorable conditions for foreign investors, including Thai enterprises.
Groundbreaking ceremony for 230 billion VND workers' housing project
Within the framework of the conference, Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Becamex VSIP Ready-Built Factory project with an area of 4.2 hectares, total investment capital of more than 274 billion VND, serving the production needs of small and medium enterprises.
In addition, there is also a 1.3-hectare worker housing project with a total investment of more than VND230 billion, along with auxiliary infrastructure projects such as green parks and water pumping stations serving production and daily life in the industrial park.
