On September 12, in Phan Thiet ward, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province Police organized a conference to propagate and sign a commitment to comply with traffic safety laws for more than 100 drivers and businesses transporting goods and passengers in the Southeast of the province.
Attending and directing the Conference was Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police. Also attending the Conference were representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Department of Construction; officers and soldiers of the Traffic Police Department.

At the Conference, drivers and transport business owners were informed by the Traffic Police Department about: Traffic safety and order situation after the province's merger, number of accidents involving passenger and cargo transport vehicles; analysis of causes, consequences and common violations by drivers.
The Traffic Police Department's professional team also disseminated and thoroughly understood legal regulations, provided guidance on safe driving skills and professional ethics requirements, and protected the lives of passengers and other traffic participants.

In his speech, Colonel Nguyen Tuong Vu highly appreciated the role of transport enterprises, which significantly contributed to serving people's travel needs, promoting trade, tourism and local economic development.
At the same time, it is emphasized that handling violations of traffic safety laws is necessary but not the ultimate goal. The highest goal is to protect people's lives and property, the sustainable development of businesses and the safety of the community.

He requested that in the coming time, the traffic police force continue to promote the dissemination of laws. Transport units should raise awareness of law compliance, manage drivers and staff well; work with the police force to ensure traffic order and safety, contributing to reducing accidents.
At the conference, business owners and drivers signed a commitment to comply with traffic safety laws.

The conference also launched a fundraising campaign to support traffic accident victims in difficult circumstances. Through the campaign, the police force and businesses donated 156.5 million VND and handed it over to the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to manage and use to support families whose relatives were involved in traffic accidents.
Up to now, after 3 launches, the police force and transportation businesses in the province have supported families with relatives who have been involved in traffic accidents with more than 280 million VND.
