In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, cadres, soldiers, union members and young people were present at Tinh Bien International Border Gate to welcome Team K93 to complete the search and collection of martyrs' remains sacrificed in Cambodia in phase XXIV (dry season 2024-2025).

After the working group arrived at Team K93, the Steering Committee 515 of An Giang province held an incense offering ceremony at the unit's funeral home. Officers and soldiers moved the remains of the martyrs into the funeral home, offered incense and took a moment to remember the heroes and martyrs.

During this period, Team K93 organized to carry out tasks in the two provinces of Ta Keo and Kampong Speu (Kingdom of Cambodia) and organized searches and collections in the province.
With the highest sense of responsibility and determination, the K93 Team overcame all difficulties and challenges, organized surveys and manual excavations in 42 locations, about more than 12,000 holes, with the amount of excavation of about 14,100m3 of soil and rock, searched and collected 56 martyrs' remains, and identified 2 martyrs. Of which, 51 remains were in Cambodia, 5 martyrs' remains were in the province; bringing the total number of martyrs' remains collected by the K93 Team in Cambodia to 2,141 sets and the total number of martyrs' remains collected in the country to 1,372 sets.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony, Colonel Huynh Van Khoi, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of Steering Committee 515 of An Giang province, highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts to overcome hardships and difficulties of Team K93 to carry out the task of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains.
Colonel Nguyen Thuc Linh, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 9, presented gifts to Team K93.
Colonel Huynh Van Khoi requested Party committees, departments, branches, agencies, units, localities at all levels, and Team K93 to continue to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the directive documents on the search and collection of martyrs' remains. Prepare and conduct the memorial service and burial of martyrs' remains at Doc Ba Dac Martyrs' Cemetery according to the plan of the Provincial People's Committee; develop a plan to organize a survey of the area, collect information, and prepare to carry out the task of searching and collecting martyrs' remains in phase XXV (dry season 2025-2026).

Continue to promote and improve the effectiveness of information, propaganda and mobilization work for organizations and individuals inside and outside the province; strengthen cooperation with provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia to collect information, documents, witnesses... about martyrs and martyrs' graves to serve the search and collection of martyrs' remains.

Colonel Huynh Van Khoi requested officers and soldiers of Team K93 to continue to promote their sense of responsibility, proactively overcome all difficulties; while performing their duties, they should also do mass mobilization, propaganda, and collect information about martyrs and martyrs' graves. At the same time, strictly carry out military diplomacy when performing tasks in the neighboring country of Cambodia.

Colonel Huynh Van Khoi expressed his infinite gratitude and deep appreciation to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones for independence, for noble international sentiment, and for the happiness of the people of Vietnam and Cambodia.
“The martyrs’ remains brought back today are not just ashes, just remains, but the souls of an entire era - the era of people who dared to sacrifice everything to build the Fatherland today. We welcome them with all solemnity, with incense sticks, with tears of gratitude to tell them: The Fatherland never forgets, the People never forget. Today’s generation and forever after vow to live worthy of those noble sacrifices. Once again, we respectfully bow before the souls of the heroes and martyrs,” said Colonel Huynh Van Khoi.
Collectives and individuals received certificates of merit from the Military Command of An Giang province.
On this occasion, the Military Command of An Giang province awarded certificates of merit to 4 groups and 15 individuals with good achievements in carrying out the task of searching for and collecting the remains of martyrs who died in Cambodia in phase XXIV (dry season 2024-2025).
