On the morning of November 17th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly , Head of the National Assembly's Delegation Affairs Committee, and Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, attended and celebrated the National Unity Day with officials, Party members, and people of Hamlet 13, Kim Tan Commune (Kim Son District).
Also attending were: Comrade Dinh Viet Dung, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Inspection Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Comrade Le Van Kien, Provincial Party Committee Member and Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; representatives from several provincial departments, agencies, and organizations; leaders of the Kim Son District Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee; officials and Party members of Kim Tan commune; and a large number of people from Hamlet 13.
At the festival, delegates and the people enjoyed many outstanding cultural performances by the Kim Tan commune's art troupe, praising the Party, President Ho Chi Minh, and the homeland; and recalled the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023).
Building on that tradition, over the years, the Front Committee of Hamlet 13, Kim Tan Commune, has done a good job of mobilizing, gathering, and uniting the people. Given that over 90% of the hamlet's population is Catholic, the Front Committee has actively propagated and encouraged the people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws.
Frontline officials regularly monitor and reflect the thoughts, aspirations, public opinion, and suggestions of the people in the residential area to the Party branch and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune. The implementation of grassroots democracy regulations and community mediation work are given priority and carried out effectively...
Thanks to this, the people in the hamlet have always strictly adhered to the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws; they are united, compassionate, and supportive of each other in life; and they actively participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Fatherland Front at all levels. In building new rural areas, the people contributed money and labor to build a hamlet cultural house with a total value of 400 million VND; they voluntarily renovated their houses and cleaned up the environment. In economic development, the hamlet's mass organizations acted as guarantors with the Social Policy Bank and the Agricultural Bank, enabling people to borrow over 6 billion VND for production and business; the value of agricultural land cultivated per hectare averaged 100-130 million VND/year; and the poverty rate decreased to 3.13%. 83.1% of families in the hamlet have been recognized as culturally exemplary families.
Following the theme of the 2022 Community Festival, 99.4% of households in the hamlet signed a commitment to implement the model of mobilizing religious followers and the people to practice civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, and festivals. The Hamlet 13 Front Committee launched the theme for the 2023 Community Festival as: All people join forces to build solidarity houses for poor households; build new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Speaking at the event, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly's Delegation Affairs Committee, and Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee, expressed her joy at attending the event, while acknowledging and commending the achievements in socio-economic development and new rural construction of Kim Son district in general, and of Kim Tan commune and Hamlet 13 in particular.
The comrade emphasized: Unity and great unity are precious traditions of our nation; they are an intrinsic strength and a decisive factor in all victories in the revolutionary cause of our Party. This fine tradition continues to be preserved and nurtured through the role of the Fatherland Front at all levels today.
The comrade expressed his wish that cadres working in the Fatherland Front would continue to uphold the precious traditions of the nation; truly serve as a bridge between the people and the Party committees and local authorities; and build the Fatherland Front into a common home for all strata of the people.
To enhance the effectiveness of mobilization and promote the strength of national unity, the comrade suggested solutions such as highlighting the role of the elderly, religious leaders, and influential people in the community to encourage the people to work together to build peaceful, united, and happy communities and villages; and further improve the material and spiritual lives of the people.
Cadres, Party members, and people of Hamlet 13, Kim Tan Commune, need to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and unity; live "a good life and a virtuous life," "respect God and love the country"; enthusiastically study, work, and produce; join forces with the local Party committee and government to successfully complete the tasks of socio-economic development and new rural construction; achieve the targets set by the Party Congress at all levels, and build an increasingly prosperous and beautiful homeland.
On this occasion, he presented a photograph of President Ho Chi Minh leading the song of unity and gifts to the cadres, Party members, and people of Hamlet 13; donated 10 gift packages to poor households, people with meritorious services, and families with particularly difficult circumstances in Kim Tan commune; and donated more than 1,000 windbreaker jackets to students of Kim Tan Primary and Secondary School.
Comrade Dinh Viet Dung, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, presented flowers and gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to representatives of Hamlet 13; and presented 10 gift packages to disadvantaged families and families with preferential policies in Kim Tan commune.
