On August 15th, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received and worked with the Korean Business Association, led by its Chairman, Mr. Hong Sun. Leaders from relevant departments and agencies also attended.

During the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Hong Sun expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome from the provincial leaders. Highly appreciating Ninh Thuan 's potential and strengths, Mr. Hong Sun expressed his desire for the province's support and assistance in exploring investment opportunities and developing projects in the province, especially in the energy and wind power sectors.

Next, Mr. Shim DukBo, Chief Representative of Deawoo E&C's Vietnam Office, gave a brief overview of the company's formation, development, and areas of operation. According to him, Deawoo E&C was established in 1973, headquartered in Seoul (South Korea), with its Vietnam office established in 1991. Its main business areas include oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, housing, buildings, investment, and development. Currently, Deawoo E&C is planning to explore investment opportunities in various sectors such as infrastructure, power plants, petrochemicals, and renewable energy in Ninh Thuan province. Therefore, they want to gain a deeper understanding of the province's needs and realities before making an investment decision.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomed the Korean Business Association's visit and their search for investment cooperation opportunities in Ninh Thuan; he also briefly introduced the outstanding achievements in the province's socio -economic development in recent years, especially the potential for renewable energy development, the Ca Na port infrastructure, the North-South expressway in the province which is basically being implemented and is expected to be open in April 2024; and the routes from Ninh Thuan to the Central Highlands provinces... Regarding the province's strategic orientation for the period 2030-2050, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that the province will focus on developing a green and sustainable economy, industries using local renewable energy, tourism with improved quality, high-tech agriculture development, the development of tourist cities and coastal resort cities, and the completion of the pumped-storage hydropower strategic project. The province hopes that in the future, the Korean Business Association will connect with more Korean businesses interested in long-term investment cooperation in the province's potential sectors. Ninh Thuan will create the most favorable conditions for businesses when they come to invest in the area.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a commemorative gift to the Chairman of the Korean Business Association in Vietnam, featuring a logo representing Ninh Thuan province. On the same day, the delegation visited and learned about the Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac district).
