On August 15, Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received and worked with the Korean Business Association (KBA) led by Mr. Hong Sun, Chairman of the Association. Attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments, agencies and sectors.

At the meeting, on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Hong Sun sincerely thanked the provincial leaders for their warm welcome. Appreciating the potential and strengths of Ninh Thuan , Mr. Hong Sun wanted the province to support and create favorable conditions to explore investment opportunities for project development in the province, especially in the fields of energy and wind power.

Next, Mr. Shim DukBo, Chief Representative of Deawoo E&C Office in Vietnam, briefly introduced the formation, development and exploitation fields of the company. Accordingly, Deawoo E&C Company was established in 1973, headquartered in Seoul (Korea), the office in Vietnam was established in 1991, the main business fields are oil and gas, energy, infrastructure, housing, buildings, investment and development. Currently, Deawoo E&C is planning to seek investment opportunities in many fields such as infrastructure, power plants, petrochemicals and renewable energy (RE) in Ninh Thuan. Therefore, it wants to learn more about the needs and reality of the province to make an investment decision.

Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomed the Korean Business Association to visit and seek investment cooperation opportunities in Ninh Thuan; at the same time, he briefly introduced the outstanding achievements in the province's socio -economic development in recent times, especially the potential for renewable energy development, Ca Na port infrastructure, the North-South expressway in the province which has been basically deployed so far, expected to be open in April 2024; routes from Ninh Thuan to the Central Highlands provinces... Regarding the province's strategic orientation in the period of 2030-2050, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the province focuses on developing the economy in the direction of green and sustainable development, industries using on-site renewable energy, tourism in the direction of improving quality, developing high-tech agriculture, developing urban tourism, coastal resort urban areas, completing the strategic project of pumped-storage hydropower. The province hopes that in the coming time, the Korean Business Association will connect many Korean businesses interested in long-term investment cooperation in the province's potential fields. Ninh Thuan will create the most favorable conditions for businesses when they come to invest in the area.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee presented a souvenir with the logo of Ninh Thuan to the Chairman of the Korean Business Association in Vietnam. On the same day, the delegation visited and learned about Du Long Industrial Park (Thuan Bac).
