Dong Nai proposes to change many indicators of residential land, agricultural land, and traffic land.

(DN) - On July 29, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province chaired a meeting with leaders of departments and branches to review land use needs to meet the development requirements of the province after the merger and serve the requirements of adjusting the national land use planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050. The meeting was connected online with 95 wards and communes.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai province, in order to adjust the national land use plan to 2030, with a vision to 2050, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has requested localities to review and update the demand for agricultural and non-agricultural land use. On that basis, the department is reviewing and synthesizing data to report to the Provincial People's Committee to propose to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment land use targets, in order to determine the targets and allocate them to each commune-level administrative unit to ensure the socio-economic development requirements of the locality.

Through reviewing and synthesizing the land use needs of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces before the merger, Dong Nai province proposed a residential land target of more than 48,800 hectares, an increase of more than 4,200 hectares; industrial park land of about 39,400 hectares, an increase of nearly 2,900 hectares; concentrated information technology park land of 118 hectares, an increase of 18 hectares; commercial service land of nearly 13,200 hectares, an increase of nearly 4,500 hectares; traffic land of 64,000 hectares, an increase of nearly 6,300 hectares.

In addition, Dong Nai province proposed to reduce 78,600 hectares of mineral exploitation land, about 15,000 hectares of energy land, more than 3,200 hectares of rice land, and more than 5,000 hectares of forestry land. Particularly for production forest land, the province proposed to increase it from 98,100 hectares to 107,600 hectares.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said that land use planning is an important legal basis for implementing works and projects. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the proposal to reduce agricultural land to supplement non-agricultural land; agreed with the proposal to take Long Thanh International Airport as a driving force for development to build a high-quality service urban area, international trade, logistics areas, warehouses and high-tech industries...

Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to absorb opinions at the meeting, complete the draft report of the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for consideration and adjustment of land use targets until 2030 of Dong Nai province before July 31, 2025.

Assign departments, branches and localities to send a report summarizing land use needs to the Department of Agriculture and Environment before July 30, 2025. In case departments, branches and localities do not agree with the proposal of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, they must clearly state the reasons, causes, legal basis, etc.

The Provincial Police need to urgently coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security and the Department of Agriculture and Environment to unify the location and scale of the two projects of the Data Industrial Park and the Logistics Center under the Ministry. In case of any changes in the security land use index, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee before July 30, 2025.

For the project of the Concentrated Information Technology Park and the Missile Site of Division 367, the Department of Science and Technology and the Provincial Military Command are assigned to urgently coordinate with relevant units to unify the implementation plan according to the opinion of the Ministry of National Defense and report to the competent authority for direction and handling. In case the unified plan changes the national defense land use index, the Provincial Military Command is assigned to promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee before July 30, 2025.
