Typhoon No. 2 (Typhoon Prapiroon) will make landfall in the Quang Ninh - Hai Phong area between 5-7 am today (July 23). From today until tomorrow, Northern Vietnam and Thanh Hoa will experience heavy rain. The heaviest rainfall will be in the Northeast region with 100-200mm, and over 300mm in some areas. The Northwest region and Thanh Hoa will receive 50-100mm of rain, with over 200mm in some areas. Hanoi may receive 100mm of rain.

Northwest Vietnam
The morning will bring moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with very heavy rain in some areas. Light winds. The highest temperature will be 28-31 degrees Celsius.
Northeast Vietnam
The morning will bring moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with very heavy rain in some areas. North to northwest winds will be at level 3-4, gradually strengthening to level 4-5 in coastal areas. Coastal areas of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong may experience strong winds of level 7, with winds near the storm's center reaching level 8, gusting to levels 10-11.
In the areas of Lang Son, Bac Giang, Thai Binh , and Nam Dinh, strong winds of force 5-6, with some areas reaching force 7, and gusts of force 8-9, are expected. Thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. The lowest temperature will be 23-26 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 23 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 27-30 degrees Celsius.
Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue region
In the North, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain, especially in Thanh Hoa where there will be moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain; in the South, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the late afternoon and evening. West to southwest winds at level 2-3. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind. The lowest temperature will be 24-27 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 31-34 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 34 degrees Celsius.
Da Nang – Binh Thuan
In the South Central region, there will be cloudy skies, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some areas, especially in the late afternoon and evening with scattered showers and thunderstorms, and locally heavy rain.
