According to the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting, currently (November 2nd), a cold air mass is moving southward in the North.

Around the night of November 3rd, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region of Vietnam; then it will affect the North Central region, most areas in the Northwest region, and some areas in the Central region. Northeast winds inland will strengthen to level 3, and level 4 in coastal areas.

From November 4th, the weather in the Northeast and Thanh Hoa will turn cold; from November 5th to 6th, the weather will be cold in the Northern and North Central regions, with some mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell in the Northern and North Central regions will generally range from 17-19 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas experiencing temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone combined with a strengthening cold front, from early morning on November 3rd, the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai experienced widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms; from early morning on November 4th, the northeastern region of Vietnam experienced scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing heavy rain.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind. Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, and strong winds can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, transportation infrastructure, and other facilities.

Heavy rainfall and localized heavy rain are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas; flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides on slopes.

Northeast Vietnam

Cloudy, sunny during the day, with scattered rain at night in some areas, especially in the plains and coastal areas near dawn tomorrow. Northeast winds 2-3 Beaufort during the day; gradually strengthening to 3 Beaufort at night, 4 Beaufort in coastal areas. Cold in the early morning and at night, with some mountainous areas experiencing freezing temperatures. Lowest temperature 18-21 degrees Celsius, below 18 degrees Celsius in some mountainous areas. Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

In the North (Thanh Hoa-Nghe An), it will be cloudy with sunny days and scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, with some areas experiencing heavy rain; in the South, it will be mostly cloudy with moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. Winds will be from the north to northwest at speeds of 2-3. The North will be cold in the early morning and at night. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature will be 18-21 degrees Celsius. The highest temperature will be 26-29 degrees Celsius, with some areas exceeding 29 degrees Celsius.

Da Nang - Binh Thuan

Cloudy skies. In the North (Da Nang-Quang Ngai), moderate to heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms are expected, with very heavy rain in some areas. In the South, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected, especially in the late afternoon and evening, with heavy rain in some areas. North to northeast winds at 2-3 Beaufort scale. Tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind are possible during thunderstorms. Lowest temperatures: 20-23 degrees Celsius in the North, 23-26 degrees Celsius in the South. Highest temperatures: 27-30 degrees Celsius, with some areas in the South exceeding 31 degrees Celsius.

Central Highlands
