| Provincial Road DT.177, the section connecting Hoang Su Phi commune with Xin Man commune and bordering Pa Vay Su commune, is currently seriously degraded. |
According to actual records, the road section is about 40 km long, due to the impact of prolonged heavy rains in the past time, many sections of the road surface have peeled off, with dense potholes; some places have landslides, deep subsidence, and the road surface is deformed, causing danger to people and vehicles. Along with that, soil and rocks from the positive slope often flow onto the road surface, causing traffic to be partially cut off. Some locations close to the negative slope, especially the area near the banks of the Song Chay 3 and Song Chay 5 hydroelectric dams, the roadbed has been eroded, eating into the road surface, posing a high risk of collapse. In addition, the frequent passing of many heavy trucks and construction material vehicles has further damaged the road surface, making it difficult for people to travel.
People living along the route said that during the rainy season, many sections of the road become muddy and slippery, making it difficult for motorbikes to move, and cars can easily get stuck or damaged.

It is known that in April 2025, Ha Giang province previously held the Technical Opening Ceremony of the project to Upgrade and Renovate Bac Quang - Xin Man Road (DT.177) Phase I with a total length of 42.72 km, the starting point connecting from the intersection with National Highway 2 in Tan Quang commune (Bac Quang) to the end point at the center of Nam Dich commune (Hoang Su Phi).
This is a route serving the development of tourism and economy in the western part of the province. Therefore, the early repair and renovation of this route is extremely necessary and urgent.
