NDO - On December 5, FPT Corporation announced the establishment of FPT Smart Cloud Japan Co., Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company was established to develop an ecosystem of products and solutions applying artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud technology to serve customers in the Japanese market as well as throughout Asia.
The establishment of a company specializing in AI and cloud in Japan is an important step in realizing FPT's long-term strategy after the Group launched FPT AI Factory in Japan in November.
According to IDC, Japan’s AI market is expected to reach $5.9 billion this year, up 31.2%. This is a huge opportunity for FPT’s new company to cooperate with organizations in Japan to access and apply high technology. FPT aims to develop sovereign AI and realize the common vision of making Japan an AI nation.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of FPT Corporation affirmed: “Artificial intelligence will change the whole world . We are working closely with strategic partners to develop essential cloud infrastructure for AI applications around the world, especially in Japan, under NVIDIA's global initiative."
