
In Thai Lao hamlet, Yen Hop commune, Quy Hop district, floodwaters have inundated the entire village, with some houses submerged up to the windows. Mrs. Tran Thi Minh, a resident of Yen Hop hamlet, wading through the water carrying belongings to move, said: "Since the evening of September 26th, the floodwaters have risen rapidly, now flooding our house and soaking all our rice and grain. Currently, our family has managed to move the children to a safe place."
Mr. Chu Van An, head of Thai Lao hamlet, said: "Out of more than 200 households in the hamlet, 40 households were severely flooded and had to be evacuated. Currently, the militia and self-defense forces of Yen Hop commune are actively helping people move themselves and their belongings to safe places."

According to a quick report from the Quy Hop District Department of Agriculture , 685 households in the district are currently isolated due to flooding of the bridge in Duoc hamlet, Lien Hop commune, cutting off three residential areas in Duoc and Quan hamlets. The bridge in Hop Tien village, Chau Tien commune, is also flooded, isolating Hop Tien village; a temporary bridge used for construction has collapsed, isolating Tham, Xiet, and Bon villages in Chau Ly commune. Over 185 households are affected by flooding. More than 120 hectares of vegetables and 250 hectares of sugarcane are submerged, and 70 hectares of ponds and lakes have been flooded.


According to the leaders of Quy Hop district: This morning, the District People's Committee established a working group to inspect and direct forces, assisting people in relocating themselves and their property to safe areas; focusing on addressing landslides at traffic points, clearing waterways at some flooded bridge crossings; setting up barriers and assigning guards at flooded bridge crossings and landslide-affected traffic points. At the same time, relief efforts are being carried out in flooded areas using boats, as the main roads to the communes are isolated and cut off.
