Today, silver prices on the world market reached a new peak.
Today, December 12th, silver prices opened the Asian trading session at $63.56 per ounce, up $1.74 per ounce from the previous session. This represents a 2.83% increase, indicating a clear upward trend after a period of consolidation. In the previous session, silver prices fluctuated within a fairly wide range of $61.44 to $64.30 per ounce.
After more than 20 minutes of trading, at around 6:22 AM Hanoi time, the price of silver fell slightly to $63.42 per ounce. Despite the short-term correction, the price remained above $63.5 per ounce, marking a new record and bringing the year-to-date increase to over 115%.

Today's silver prices are being supported by several factors simultaneously. Industrial demand for silver remains high, while global inventories are declining. The inclusion of silver on the US list of essential minerals is also providing further support for the upward trend.
According to SP Angel's assessment, speculative capital is shifting strongly towards silver after gold underwent a correction. The tightening physical market, which recorded supply shortages in October, has contributed to consolidating the current upward trend. In addition, silver is seen as a safe-haven asset similar to gold but at a more accessible price, attracting further investor interest.
