From the very beginning of 2025, the Gia Nghia City Party Committee focused on directing efforts to successfully organize the grassroots-level Party congresses and the 13th City Party Congress, leading up to the 13th Dak Nong Provincial Party Congress.

Following the conclusion of the 5th Party Congress of Nghia Trung Ward, for the 2025-2030 term, on February 14th, the Gia Nghia City Party Committee held a meeting to review lessons learned throughout the entire Party organization.

Gia Nghia City Party Secretary Vo Pham Xuan Lam emphasized that other Party committees should learn from and draw lessons from the pilot Party congress of Nghia Trung ward to organize their own congresses effectively.

Comrade Vo Pham Xuan Lam, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Gia Nghia City Party Committee, assessed that the pilot congress and pilot direct election of grassroots-level Party secretaries in Nghia Trung ward for the 2025-2030 term had successfully completed all planned contents. Therefore, Gia Nghia is implementing a comprehensive set of solutions to overcome difficulties and promote economic growth. The city is leveraging its potential and strengths to achieve rapid and sustainable economic development.

Gia Nghia aims for a total production value of approximately 7,725 billion VND by 2025; total state budget revenue of 1,198 billion VND; and budget expenditure of 584 billion VND.

“The city will accelerate the completion of several high-impact projects to create momentum for socio-economic development. The city is mobilizing resources to invest in the development of transportation and urban infrastructure,” said Vo Pham Xuan Lam, Secretary of the Gia Nghia City Party Committee.

Gia Nghia will proactively coordinate with relevant provincial agencies to promptly implement related contents and ensure progress. key projects in the area.

The city is focusing on resolving obstacles in land clearance, arranging resettlement for affected households, and implementing repairs to the Ho Chi Minh Highway through Gia Nghia City to ensure traffic flow and goods transportation.

Gia Nghia City continues to invest in the development of a green urban environment.

The city continues to strengthen the management of state budget investments and improve investment efficiency. The city maximizes the mobilization of social resources for development investment through the application of diverse forms of infrastructure construction investment.

“We are creating favorable conditions for businesses to implement projects, especially by removing obstacles for large, key projects that make a significant contribution to growth and have a ripple effect on the city's development. The city will accelerate the completion of several projects with a major impact to create momentum for economic and social development. Gia Nghia is accelerating the shift in its economic structure towards a green and circular economy, linked with a transformation of its growth model towards increased efficiency based on high technology, digital transformation, and high added value.

The city continues to promote the application of advanced and modern technologies in production. It encourages businesses, cooperatives, and individuals to effectively implement planning and organize production to develop concentrated raw material areas linked to processing and export industries.

Ensuring social security

Gia Nghia City aims to create jobs for 2,650 workers and provide vocational training for 600 workers by 2025. The target is for 80% of the workforce to have received training.

The percentage of people of working age participating in social insurance is 44.5%. Gia Nghia strives to reduce the poverty rate to below 0.2% (according to the poverty standard for the 2022-2025 period).

Thinh Phat Co., Ltd. in Gia Nghia City invested in a freeze-drying machine for fruit processing.

Gia Nghia has set targets for the percentage of wards and communes meeting national standards for healthcare to reach 75%; the expanded immunization rate for children under 1 year old to be over 95%; 95% of the population to participate in health insurance; and the rate of stunting among children under 5 years old to be below 22.4%.

The goal is to achieve a 96% urban waste treatment rate, 100% street lighting coverage on main roads, 100% tree-lined main roads, a 78% urbanization rate, 100% of the population using sanitary facilities, 100% of villages and hamlets with access to the national power grid, and 100% of households with access to electricity.

The city also set targets for Dak Nia and Dak R'moan communes to achieve 19 out of 19 advanced new rural development indicators. Forest cover rate is targeted at 8.07%; and land use rights resolution reaches 95% or higher.

The overall percentage of paved and concrete roads in the city reached 77.5%. The percentage of paved and concrete roads in urban areas was 100%. The percentage of paved and concrete roads in rural areas reached 68.8%.
