Lao Cai teachers master artificial intelligence

On August 14-15, at Lao Cai Ward Conference Center, Lao Cai Department of Education and Training organized a training course on "Application of AI technology" for 130 managers and teachers of Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers (VET-GDTX) in the province.

The training content focuses on innovating teaching methods, effectively exploiting digital learning materials and applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning activities. Teachers are guided in designing digital lessons through AI tools, combining practical experiences to improve their ability to apply them to teaching practice.

In addition, the program opens a forum for teachers and administrators to exchange experiences and share solutions to effectively exploit AI in management, teaching and learning material development.

Organizing training right before the new school year is considered an important preparation step, helping teachers of Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers proactively access advanced technology, meet the requirements of digital transformation in education , improve the quality of teaching and learning, and create a foundation for sustainable innovations in the 2025-2026 school year.

Teacher Nguyen Minh Thuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Lao Cai province affirmed: In response to the demands of the times, we need to prepare a future human resource capable of mastering the most modern technologies today. The Education and Training sector identifies this as a huge responsibility, so it has proactively organized training and coaching programs for teachers. The goal is for teachers to become role models in self-study, self-creation and mastery of technology.

Teacher Vu Tuyet Nhung, Director of Lao Cai - Cam Duong Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center, shared: We guide teachers to use artificial intelligence as a tool to support individualizing the learning process of students, helping to accurately assess their abilities and orient appropriate careers. Along with exploiting AI, teachers also play a role in guiding students to use technology for the right purposes, develop self-study and creativity, instead of depending on machines.

Teacher Nong Trung Kien, Luc Yen Vocational Education and Training Center, Lao Cai province said: "In my opinion, AI technology is developing very strongly and it is very necessary to guide teachers and students to use it properly. AI can significantly support the teaching and learning process, but it is necessary to avoid over-dependence, both on teachers and students."

The training on “Application of AI technology” not only equips teachers and managers of Vocational Education and Continuing Education Centers with AI application skills, but also opens up innovative thinking, helping them to be ready to adapt to the digital education environment.

Knowledge and practical experience in the classroom become important assets, helping each teacher confidently implement modern lessons, effectively manage and develop learning materials to meet diverse learning needs. This is the premise for Lao Cai education sector to enter the new school year with a proactive, creative and sustainable spirit.
