Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao holds the position of Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was recognized by the Minister of Education and Training to hold the position of Chairman of the Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son signed a decision to recognize Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao, Party Secretary and Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, to hold the position of Chairman of the University Council of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the decision, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao will perform the duties of chairman of the university council in accordance with the functions, powers and regulations of the law. The regimes on salary, allowances and other benefits will be implemented according to the current regulations of the State for the title of professor.

The recognition of the university council chairman is an important step in perfecting the university organization and administration in accordance with the spirit of autonomy, innovation and sustainable development of Vietnamese higher education in the new period.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Quoc Bao was born in 1979, appointed associate professor in 2015 and appointed professor in 2023.

He has more than 20 years of experience working at the school, many years holding management positions from deputy head of finance department (2011 - 2016), head of finance department (2016 - 2020), head of training department (2020 - 2022), vice principal and then vice director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (from 2022 to present).
