Hanoi will have fireworks displays at 30 locations to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the liberation of the capital.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi on October 10th this year, Hanoi is organizing fireworks displays at 30 locations with 31 firing points. Each district, county, and town will have at least one firing point.

The Hanoi People's Committee has announced a plan to organize a fireworks display to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hanoi (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024). The display will last 15 minutes, from 9:30 PM to 9:45 PM on October 9th. Specifically, the city will deploy 30 firing points with 31 sites, an increase of 24 points compared to the previously issued plan. This includes one high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display with 800 fireworks and 24 pyrotechnic displays with 480 pyrotechnic tubes at the My Dinh National Stadium combined with the F1 racetrack area in Phu Do Ward, Nam Tu Liem District.

Eight locations will feature a combination of high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays, each with 600 fireworks, including: - Hoan Kiem District: in front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper headquarters and in front of the Hanoi Post Office . - Tay Ho District: Lac Long Quan flower garden and in front of the District People's Committee gate. - Nam Tu Liem District: F1 racetrack area, Phu Do ward. - Hai Ba Trung District: Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Le Dai Hanh ward. - Ha Dong District: Van Quan Lake, Van Quan ward. - Son Tay Town: Son Tay Ancient Citadel. - Thanh Tri District: the reservoir project area, Tam Hiep commune. - Dong Anh District: District Sports Center. 22 locations will feature low-altitude fireworks displays at: - Ba Dinh District: southeast of Ngoc Khanh Lake, Ngoc Khanh ward. - Hoang Mai District: Den Lu Lake Park, Hoang Van Thu ward. - Long Bien District: Park 02, Viet Hung ward; Vinhomes Riverside ecological urban area, Viet Hung ward. - Dong Da District: Hoang Cau Lake peninsula, O Cho Dua ward. - Cau Giay District: Cau Giay Park, Dich Vong Ward. - Thanh Xuan District: Nhan Chinh Lake Park, Nhan Chinh Ward. - Bac Tu Liem District: Hoa Binh Park, Xuan Dinh Ward, Bac Tu Liem District. - Gia Lam District: No. 1 Thuan An, Trau Quy Town. - Me Linh District: Rooftop of the 4-story District People's Committee building. - Ba Vi District: Quang Oai Stadium, Tay Dang Town. - Dan Phuong District: Stand B, District Stadium, Phung Town. - Thach That District: Stadium, Lien Quan Town. - Chuong My District: District Stadium, Chuc Son Town. - Thuong Tin District: District Cultural, Information and Sports Center. - Quoc Oai District: Rooftop of the 6-story District Military Command building. - Phu Xuyen District: Thao Chinh sub-district, Phu Xuyen Town. - My Duc District: Ecological Lake Park, Dai Nghia Town. - Ung Hoa District: District Stadium, Van Dinh Town. - Soc Son District: District stadium, Soc Son town. - Phuc Tho District: District stadium, Phuc Tho town. - Thanh Oai District: Green park, Kim Bai town. - Hoai Duc District: Stadium of the District Cultural, Information and Sports Center. The fireworks display aims to evoke pride, heroic spirit, and the glorious historical value and significance of the revolutionary struggle tradition of the Party Committee, armed forces, and people of the capital in the cause of national liberation; creating momentum and enthusiasm for building the thousand-year-old, heroic capital. The Hanoi People's Committee requests that agencies and units closely coordinate with all forces, seriously and specifically implement the plan, and organize the fireworks display according to the prescribed program and time. Relevant units must make thorough preparations in all aspects, maintain strict command, and ensure absolute safety of personnel and equipment before, during, and after the fireworks display. Departments, agencies, the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities, and related units are responsible for implementing this plan and ensuring safety.
