Hanoi: Parking lot fire, many vehicles burned

Fire prevention, firefighting and rescue police promptly coordinated to control and prevent the fire from spreading at the parking lot fire in the Nguyen Khoi dike area (Hong Ha ward, Hanoi) on the afternoon of August 30.

At approximately 12:30 PM on August 30th, authorities received a report of a fire at 335 Nguyen Khoai Street (Hong Ha Ward). Immediately after receiving the report, the Fire Prevention, Fighting, and Rescue Police Department of Hanoi City Police dispatched 10 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene, coordinating with local police and residents to extinguish the fire.

Police quickly arrived to prevent the fire from spreading and extinguished it at around 1:30 PM that same day.

The fire occurred in a parking lot. When the fire broke out, the burning plastic and rubber caused thick black smoke to rise dozens of meters into the air, spreading throughout the area under the Vinh Tuy bridge.

Initial reports indicate that the fire caused no casualties, but resulted in significant property damage, with many motorbikes and bicycles destroyed.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the authorities.
